maybe small free papers? theres stuff like this all the time in our local free paper and a lot of people read it oddly enough... maybe this will add to the damage
If theyre part of a franchise, the franchiser usually has a website with complaints etc that you could use.
Waggon and Horses Westhoughton (contributing to google position)Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -

Also the more you say Waggon and Horses Bolton, the higher this thread goes in Google search results
Good advice I always check reviews before I visit any new place"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Same here, Wouldn't vist any place that had bad comments about the service such as there0 -
Not much help to you now im afraid but for future reference if something like this happens again ,you are legally entitled ( so wont have the police coming after you for non payment) to only pay what you feel the meal and service were worth if you explain why at the time .0

Could you lodge a complaint to the brewery? I found a pic online and it says it is a Marston's Pub, would they be interested in your case? Don't know how old the pic is though so might be an alternative brewery or free house now?I'm so sexy it's a wonder my underpants don't explode.0

"I ordered a 2 for 1 and the other meal was for my child which swiftly after he started to eat it got a visit from the 'manager' who informed me i would have to pay for the other 'free' mal as they were not intended for under 10 yr olds."
I really dont understand this, Ive heard of an upper age limit, ie 'childrens meals for under 12s only' but not a minimum age (its food not beer!!)
So if the 'free' meal was for an adult it would have been free, but because it was eaten by a child you had to pay??? Utterly bewildering!!!
The attitude of the staff sounds really bad, but with a franchise theres no 'head office' as such, they manage themselves. Would agree with others, take the time to do some reviews.
You must feel so miffed as it was a big family day out, and muct have cost quite a bit, such a shame. Hope you do persue this and get something back.
Waggon and Horses Westhoughton. Waggon and Horses Westhoughton. Waggon and Horses Westhoughton !! ..just a help with google if its mentioned.0 -
I always thought even if somewhere was a franchise there was still a way to complain about them to the head honcho, otherwise their company name would be ruined? I could be wrong but I know that the franchise pub place near me has details on their menu of addresses for complaints or compliments ect.0
