Well done all who got the deal. I've given up now. Talked to 3 different people on Thursday and Friday last week and was told by all 3 that as there was no record on my details of me having had a call with the offer, there was nothing they could do, and they couldn't offer me the deal. Maybe because (although I've been with them for years), I've never subscribed to sports or movies? Maybe that means I don't qualify.

I do subscribe to sports at the moment and also the ESPN channel, its £50 a month! I don't know why they are being so random!

dont give up try again today ringing the number i quoted say you had the call left about 10 days ago,if no joy ask to be put through to another dep that could help further.
like i said in my last post i rang again yesterday and also got movies added for 3 months and am paying 3 quid less than before.

i also have never had movies or sports so nothing to do with that. be firm but polite. good luck

Just go to cancellations, threaten cancel, u always got cooling off period before they cancel u off n they usually ring n offer u something, if not what u want: also if they dont take your next sky package out in partners name etc... Engineer told me all this...

We pay the full amount of £58.50 a month and have done for a long time. Has anyone managed to get their sub reduced aswell as getting the HD deal? OH said I should have asked for reduction aswell when they gave me the HD deal !

How did you get it then if they knew all about it? I was told there was nothing on my account to state i was even phoned! Think I will try once more and then will try the cancellation route.

I think it's worth remembering that some of the suggested actions in this thread could be classed as deception which is a criminal offence. Obtaining goods by deception is illegal and I would think very carefully before using some of the tactics posted here.

Other than that, good luck with trying to negotiate a deal with Sky.

:beer:i got it!!!:j just called them and said my husband took a call from sky the other day, saying we could have hd for free , he went to ask manager and came back with a yes, straight away. hd box free, hd subs free, installation free. not bad i thought. tried to say about half price package, but said it was a strange offer, and they do not do that.
still happy with anything for free, and he also said that we will get one of the brand new boxes with the upgraded storage.

Absolute rubbish, written by the bar room lawyer......Sky have the option to complete the deal or not, there is nothing the "customer" can do to influence, it is Sky which sets the deal and not the customer
