Free Sky+ HD Box, Instillation & 6 months free!!!

I have sky+ and i got a call from sky today,they offered me free upgrade hd+ box & installation as well as 3 months free sports package(will be cancelled and no extra charge.).I asked to have second viewing card free(normally £20 i think!) as extra.She said OK! I thought it was very good offer so i went ahead with it.They will install it on monday.What a service!

If you look a few posts above at whittysmum's post, she emailed and had no luck!

Chances are you wont get the same person, lots of peeps in those call centre's.

You could do either really, I belive its pot luck at the end of the day - I used ' My partner took the call but I am account holder' and I got the deal..... think others have said basically the same but no joy!

I think if that doesn't work i will give up...i get embarraced asking for stuff...i need to toughen up :rotfl:

I'm just wondering why they chose you for a phone call? are you a long term customer? do you fill out questionaires when they ask? (does that sound arsey? it wasn't ment to be that way! )

Just phoned them up now and used the tip about the answerphone message and I got free Sky+HD box, free installation and free 12 months HD no problems whatsoever. It's being fitted next Thursday!!! Thanks OP !!

Well, spoke to them today and the only offer they would give me (existing customer) was "half price HD installation (£30) with free HD box" - no reduced montly subscription or free install....

Will call again tomorrow .... grrrr

it may just be a coincedence but ive noticed a few people who have sky talk are posting that they arent having much luck with the HD offer. Perhaps because they know you cant easily up and leave due to the sign up costs with another phone provider ??

Not much luck here either. Free box offered but £30 install. I said my OH took the call, but he checked for the Outbound calls and said there was no note on our account saying we had received one.

So I asked if they could do a deal for multiroom (as I wanted to move the Sky+ Box)

He offered free HD Box, Free Install, Free movement of the Sky+ to another room.

I will have to pay an extra £20 per mth subs, but it is what we wanted, so not too bad a deal. 12 months tie in though....

I think they are getting wise and the loop may be closing.... Should have done it last week.... dammmm

Just phoned up for my friend, and it is being installed 3rd April! Free HD box, Free install and free subs for 12 months!:beer:

I have phoned twice once yesterday afternoon and just before and got absolutely nothing offered from them. I must be doing something wrong!

Has anybody who has been offered this got Sky Talk? I think that this is the reason why some get the offer and some don't..
