  • Made the call and getting installed next Friday.
I told them I had a message left last Tuesday about a free HD box.
He asked if this was from the outbound team. I said yes and without prompting he told me I would get free HD box, install and 12 months free.
Did try to get me to upgrade to multi room and Sky Talk but said I was ok as I was.

Just tried for the third time and was told again that they have no such offers. The sales person even started getting a bit ratty with me.

He eventually offered me a free Sky+ HD box (which is free anyway), half price installation and a tenner a month for the subscription. I said "no thanks".

I'm giving up on this, it's too demeaning.

I sent Sky an email after being put off three times as well, this is the reply I got-

Thank you for your email about Sky+HD.
I’m very sorry for the poor service you’ve received and apologise for any inconvenience you’ve suffered as a result of this.

It is my understanding that the offer you are talking about was a recent offer that was extended to friends and family of Sky employees. Unfortunately you are not eligible for this offer at this time. If this offer is available to yourselves in the future then you will be contacted by one of our sales representatives

Whilst I realise that you may be disappointed with the decision made, I hope that you can appreciate our position on this matter.

Their customer service really is disgusting, I wish I had rung up and lied about the fake call, It obviously doesn't pay to be honest with Sky!

Well I got a great result!

I contacted sky last week to try and get a HD offer they wouldn't help so I went through to retentions who were happy to put through the cancellation. I tried calling a couple of times during this past week to see they could offer that deals to me, but they weren't having any of it.

I decided to call sales yesterday to see if the HD department could offer me a deal and they were happy to let me have the HD Box and installation free but I would have to pay the £10 sub and commit to a 12 month contact. I told her that I would consider it.

I rang back 30 minutes later and spoke to a different advisor and told them that I had ben offered the HD Box, installation AND HD Sub free (bluff), they asked me if I had a leaflet through and so I said yes (bluff), he asked me for the code and I told him it was misplaced.

They guy then put me on hold and spoke with the reconnections department and managed to get me 25% off my package for 6 months (without me even asking) and applied the 12 months HD Offer.

So I'm actually better off then you guys
