I have Sky talk and broadband, but my friend doesnt, both got it! I think you just need to be firm but polite. When I phoned for my frien the guy said he couldnt do anything, so I just asked, well why was I left a message with this number then? He said he would speak to his supevisor but he was sure that he would say the same thing, put me on hold, then came back and said yes that is fine, now we need to book installation date!

hi yes i have sky talk and my phone line with sky, im only on 3 packages a month hth and good luck to all still trying i was susprised i got it as i never normally get good offers like this

I have just called now and told them that i had been left a message, they said okay straight away and i have got Free hd box, installation and 12 months subsciption being installed Tues. Success
I have been a sky customer for 12 years and i pay £58.50 per month, which is the full package and multi room.

I have Sky Talk and Broadband and got the offer although it took 2 phone calls and put on hold a few times.

I was also only 3 months in on a new contract with sky when I took up a discounted broadband offer at the end of December.

It took 5 tries but managed to get through to a nice guy, used the "my partner picked up the phone but I'm the accountholder" chestnut, he said he'd check with his supervisor, came back in 5 mins and approved it!

So I think you just have to keep trying, and it depends on who you get. :j

Just to clarify, we got free install, HD sub for 12 months and the new HD box (500G). We have been a Sky customer for 5 years on the movie and sports package.

I'm having this installed on Monday, new subscriber. Do they supply all necessary cables - HDMI, optical, etc. I want the audio routed through my AV amp. Vision can go either that way or direct to plasma.

Do the people being offered this have other options, cable etc. just wondering if that's why they are only offering it to certain customers. Where we live we have no alternatives (except freeview) same with broadband, that's the problem with living out in the sticks

We can only get Sky or Freeview too and I was offered it.

I'm getting mine installed next week and I phoned them up today to ask them if I could get multiroom too. I was told I'd have to pay £60 installation so told them to stick it.
