Free Sky+ HD Box, Instillation & 6 months free!!!

not impressed just phoned sky who say the engineer is running late and has updated them with a time of between 1 and 5 :mad: so ive waited in all morning for nothing. i have to go out at 2.30 to pick up my daughter so if he hasnt been by then tough. had no decency to call me even though the lady at sky said he should but obviously cant when he is driving.

Seeing as i am having no luck with getting this offer i was wondering if anyone was selling thier sky+ box as i only have the standard one. I have phoned sky and they say they don't sell sky+ boxes anymore just sky+hd and i'd have to pay £100 odd for it :eek:

keep trying tho as i have just got both movie packs for 3 months for 2 quid less then what i normally pay £18.00 per month. only want it for about this time as my hubby wants to watch that pacific thats on soon. so am really happy as got hd box,free install and free channels for a year plus the free movies for 3 months.

dont know why?i have been a sky customer for long time.However i cancelled it for a year during that time.I re-subcribed it last february- just a basic package!It was very good deal as well.
I do not fill out any questionaires whatsoever.It might be something to do with registering & sign up on sky.com.I did it last monday for to keep on eye my account.I received a call later.it may just be a coincidence

I get embarrased asking for things but only one2one, I just think, on the phone, they cant see me so dont see my cheeks reddening!

It is strange how all this is being worked out but still think it has more to do with the person you talk to, some do checks others dont I guess!

Thank you, i had a look but no joy, i can get a free box if i pay for multiroom & hd+ but that adds an extra £20.

I get all panicky and never know what to say even over the phone...i should get some practice in really! 2 gos ringing and 1 email is enough for me i think. I have just bought a sky plus box on ebay for £28 though so at least now i will be able to record my progs etc.

It is really odd how some people have managed to do it and some haven't. But good on the people who have dug their heels in and actually got something from sky :T

thanks very much for this, i rang them this morning but was told that the offer had ended so i wasnt entitled to it. they then offered me free hd box and 15 pound installation but no reduction on subscription.
i told them i wasnt very happy but would consider it and ring back. After thinking about it and realising it was still a good dea i rang back and was then told there was no record of this offer!!! i asked to be put through to cancellation department and explained all this to a nice guy and he said no problem im sorry the deal wasnt logged and because of the messing i will give you the original deal!!!
so in the end i got free hd box, free installation and free 12 months subscription to hd channels!! result!!! getting it installed on good friday!!
if you dont get offered it at first definately keep trying!!!

I had no luck trying to get this offer just - I've been a Sky customer for 15 years or so and their customer service is useless, I don't know why I stay with them. They are always making mistakes and never put the customer first. They also treat customers differently depending on their 'marketing plan' - I don't like their policies and will have to look elsewhere but not heard anything good about Virgin either!!! AAARRRGGH
