The positive idea is really great, I think I will give that a try too - not feeling really down, but just so much going on I just can't seem to focus and complete one thing and that may give me a boost :o

(((((hugs to those that need it))))))))))

Thank crunchie its Friday and a long weekend, DS has a black belt grading on sunday (only 10 so a "cadet" black belt but scary all the same ), so if I'm not on here much, hope you all have a good one.

Good luck for DS, Pippajo. The positiveness thing sounds really good, doesn't it...I don't write it down, and I don't do it every day (oops, haven't done it at all, recently) but its a lovely way to finish the day.

Focus is one thing that can sometimes be a problem for me, and the house move has thrown that into relief - if I leave a job half undone, its more difficult when I have to prepare the place for a viewing - so I finish *all* the shredding, I empty *all* of a box and *everything* in the box finds a new home (including the wheelie bin, of course :D). I love multitasking - put the washing machine on, print something off on the computer, have something going on the hob, wait for a phone call, wait for the shredder to be fit to use again (2 minutes of every 20!) but it can make problems if your house has to be ready to view in 90 minutes :rotfl:

Thanks for all the good lucks, I will let you know what happens!

KC - i have been following you diary although lurking, and reading about your move, i really should post on there!

My trouble is that i am S/emp but do 2 very different jobs that are both needing a lot of attention at the moment and I never get caught up. Dh has taken over part of the work, and if we can get another contract he will leave his job and we will both give it a try, then he can take the whole of one job and I'll take the other.

    Whoops, sorry for Hijack :o,

Ooh, a lurker on my thread! Pippajo! You're very welcome to post, of course you are :kisses3: as we all say, the more the merrier. And I'd love to know about your trials and successes with self employment, thats of *particular* interest to me right now, with looking at a two-track career.

se, are you any further on with finding somewhere to live when you get back to the UK?

KC, I too start many jobs at the same time, hoping that they will all get finished....on OS they call it "dot to dot".....ie, by the end of the day, there should be quite a lot done, but in the process it can all look a little chaotic!

Tonight I am heading to the ski club for dinner as it is race weekend, so just going for a bit of a social really as the children are with their Dad. Before I go, though, I want to give my bedroom a bit of a blitz - I made a good start on it yesterday evening, along with the en-suite, so if I finish that off before I go, I will feel that I have deserved to eat out!

Dot to dot! I like that, I don't get onto the OS board as much as I should.

Excellent to pop along to the ski club like that - thats exactly what I want to find for myself in HH. Have a good one.

    Hi Hypno,

We asked for hardcopy details for a long 'shortlist' of properties, hopefully they'll be waiting for us when we get back. Then we can sort them into groups and scribble notes on etc, and prioritise viewings. There's a limit to how much you can do online really.

Some estate agents are pretty useless , some properties we've asked specific questions about and the agents don't reply.

The week after we get back we've booked a weeks 'holiday' for househunting, so by the end of next week we want viewings scheduled for that week.

So hopefully we'll find something soon.

Ultimately, I want to be within walking distance of work, ski club, football club, etc.......and I have very definite ideas about location in order to enable me to do that.

At the moment, though, I still need to drive, or get the bus......but perhaps in a couple of years.........:)
