Well done on the weight loss Hypno, sorry you're feeling low though :(

As you say, paying for help with the garden / house is good for your general well-being as it avoids low-level stress. You are still earning extra cash for your emergency pot and you'll be able to have a slight breather when your bonus comes through.

Hope you're out doing something nice :)
  • Yes, I'd do it for both of you too, if I could, Beanie and Macgirl. I love to show houses to their best advantage, and it's so much more satisfying than my real, professional job ever was. And people actually say thank you! And the two people I clean for are busy, with work and life and kids, and I know what that's like, so I kind of see it as a public service, too!

Yes, I have to say, there is nothing more satisfying than a clean and tidy house. I often find myself going back into rooms and smiling to myself - so proud am I of my achievements after a marathon cleaning session!

For me the problem is cleaning and decluttering - I only have time for one or the other - so it's usually cleaning, as I hate dirt.
Then I end up with piles of "stuff" everywhere. I need a declutterer, rather than a cleaner I think......or an extra couple of days in the week!

An extra couple of days in the week AND a cleaner would be what I need, mac!

Nipped out to the ski club for a quick catch up with some of the other mums....back now, and hoping to get a reasonably early night to try and catch up on some of the sleep I have been missing out on!

Glad you enjoyed the catch up with other mums. The weight loss is good too.

The results of all that work in the garden are going to look great, Hypno - as you say, it'll improve how you feel about the place. Very nice. I hope you get some proper sleep tonight.

    Hi Hypno

Well done on the weight loss! 4lbs is great.

As you have often said to me - let yourself feel those emotions. It helps you to deal with the change. The odd blip is allowed.
