Brilliant result for this week's weigh-in, you are two thirds of the way to your target! It can only get better from here.

Thanks guys - I certainly do feel slimmer now, and several people have commented on the weight loss so it is all positive stuff.

The guys have been here all day doing the garden - they have done a huge amount but there is a lot yet to do so I reckon I am looking at another couple of days' work from them, which will deplete the savings further, but I just cannot do it myself so I will have to shoulder the cost and continue to do the MSE work to replace it.

It will have the effect of helping us feel comfortable in our home, and that is an important thing right now, so hopefully it will be well worth the cost.

Hope you have all had a good day x

Hypno what are you having done to the garden?

Well, much as I would love to have landscapers in, creating beautiful structured borders, with lovely things growing up trellises etc, it is more a case of cutting back, digging out, and tidying up....

Last summer we did quite a lot of work towards making it a lower maintenance garden but ran out of time, and physical energy and general oomph, so it got so far and no further. Over autumn and winter there has been a lot of work created in the garden and I have no chance of getting back on top of it as it was.

So, the guys are concentrating first on the bits that everyone else can see, ie the driveway, which has today been cleared and regravelled, the side garden, which had trees and shrubs that maim any passer by etc and then they will do the back.

Well done on the weight loss. The 18 points is hard work but I'm sure you'll do just fine, you are very determined. I'm sort of treading water myself but will get back on track, mojo is just a bit low at the moment.
