You could have a look at Weezl's yummy meal planner thread too. It is at the testing phase so not quite ready to go as a full month's planner yet but has a million VERY yummy, VERY low cost meals! :drool: Once it is finished it'd be £100/month for a family of 4... Her blog also has meals that may make it into other versions of the planner too.Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Hypno, are you going to Aldi & Lidl for the fruit & veg specials, they really are mega cheap. We used to go once a fortnight when OH was signing on, and the quality was just as good as Tesco's/Sainsburys. Some of the other veg were cheaper there too. I know it might be difficult to fit in time & petrol wise, but if you're near one it could be worth a look.
Also is this a time for desperate measures, and the tinned sprouts bubble & squeak0 -
