Morning all, the 23rd used to be my payday but now i'm S/E its as and when. I miss the chunk of money hitting the account but at least it isnt at zero this morning :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have been lurking as so busy, but I have been here in spirit as my dear sis had a clear out of some very lovely clothes - it ha updated my work wardrobe, plus some casual stuff, and I went to a proper hairdressers a few weeks back having been dying my hair dark brown/red for years - I'm 36 but seriously grey - and have had blonde foils put through with a half price deal - which will need less maintenance in the long run and look more professional

Now just to do the walking/running bit................................!

Its nice to be back! Trying to get into a routine, but things keep scuppering it - mind you it has been due to signing up new candiates to assess so I dont really mind

We've started doing Lspeed and DH is nearly at a payout already and I will be soon too, He's really on board with anything that ends up in paypal. I also keep repeating the words match betting - and profit - thats starting to sink in too. Might set up a new bank account specially for it with a float ready for the world cup as he does understand betting and odds, so should make sense of matched betting.

Morning - sunny but cold here at moment - but one load of washing hung out and a second load will be ready shortly.

Am getting back in the swing of things and have lost some weight this week so things are on the upward !!!

Morning hypno, all sounding good with you. Re the cleaner I would happily oblige if I were in the same country! as i was thinking of cleaning as the childminding is very hit and miss. Havent done it before and could do with doing my own first:rotfl: May put an ad in the local shop if things dont improve soon. Anyway its Friday hooray, have a good day.

Well, am doing the figures and it is not a pretty sight. Pay wasn't *that* great, and I have lots of expenses to cover that I have committed to, like races for the kids, haircut tomorrow, and the guys who are tidying up the garden next week or the week after.

I could cancel the hair, and I could cancel the garden, but instead I am determined to get through this, and therefore am having a skint-spring challenge.

May's paypacket should be much better, so all I need to do is to survive 30 days. I will work out the bottom line scary figures in the course of the day, and can then plan properly.

I think that the main issue is going to be the supermarket shopping, so I will be doing a strict audit of the cupboards and freezer over the weekend, and meal planning accordingly for the month.

I can do this.

Hmm, figures do tend to complicate things, don't they ....... storecupboards are amazing. I was thinking, okay, I have baked beans a couple of times a week, thats a tin a week .... then I realised I have at least a couple of kilos of dried beans - flageolet, soya, blackeye, chickpeas, etc, being veggie and supposedly wholefood and all that ..... I just stopped using them when I was so ill, so last weekend the slow cooker came out for the first time in ages, and I'm starting to use them up now.

Hope you can make that money stretch for that 30 days!

Oh I will def make the money last, one way or another - it will involve some serious thought and effort, but I have come too far to let things go to pot now. 12 months ago, if this had happened, we would have just utilised one of our 3 overdrafts.....and prob gone to the max on them with a view to sorting it out "next month". Now, I only have one small overdraft facility, and I have done really well since OH left and not used it at all, so it is truly there for emergencies only.

My plan will be to budget, plan, cook, travel, etc to the cash that is available and no more. I do not want to use that overdraft. I do not want to use the MSE money I am saving (except for perhaps the garden, because that comes into House Maintenance) and I do not want to use my emergency CC. However, all those things will be there if anything truly unexpected and unavoidable comes up.

It does me good to have a really tough month from time to time, because it stops me getting complacent and slipping into bad non-DFW habits.

And it is only for 30 days. Previously, I was living like this for 30 months.....and potentially for 30 years!!

I will phone the hair salon this morning to get an idea of what I will spend tomorrow, and will then be able to come up with some budgets.....
