    Hi Hypno

Are you still planning a London trip? I've got a few tips for you!

The TFL site is quite useful: www.tfl.gov.uk
If your Hypnoettes are under 16 they can apply for an under-16 Oyster card that gives them free access to the buses for free. There is also a post 16 one. See the Oyster card section of the tfl site for more information.
I have one Oyster card that you can borrow so you don't have to pay the £3 charge. YOu might be lucky - there may even be some credit on it! (I keep a spare one for out of town visitors)
South Kensington also has the Natural History Museum which you can go to. A short walk away is Hyde Park where you can have your lunch and then you can walk through to get to Oxford St if you like although Knightsbridge is great for windowshopping.
I have this great bus map of Central London - although it is falling apart. I'll see if I can get another one if you like next time I'm in London. It's great for getting around too!

Can you tell I had a mis-spent youth in London! Let me know if you want any more info.

KC the reloads are not difficult - for example today I have one that Ladbrokes gave me - bet £20 yesterday for a free bet today, and one from WillHill, same - bet £20 for a free £10.....and there are lots like that coming through at the mo. Sometimes reloads are few and far between, so when they are available you need to grab them - all the offers I have done this week and this weekend have been reloads, it is months since I signed up at a new bookie

_pale_ I've done reloads against a lay on betfair, but I can see that they'd be more profitable by taking advantage of another, equal reload.... but isn't that dutching? I've tried twice to get my head around that, and I suppose I was nearly there the second time - I don't think I'm back at that level tho :( I will be, I promise :D

Hmmm......well, I have done an inventory of the freezer/cupboards and there is not as much in there as I thought!

I reckon, apart from bread and fruit, that I can delay the grocery shop for a few days, but probably not more than a week, if I am careful.

I will be keeping a very close eye on it, that's for sure. I feel a long month ahead of me :o

    Brussel sprout curry
    Brussel sprout stir fry
    Brussel sprout soup
    Roast brussels
    Cabbage surprise (it's really brussels)
    Brussel sprout stew
    Brussels a la mode
    Brussels fricasee
    Brussels mornay

That shoud keep you going for while (or even get you going for a while :rotfl:)

Aw, that's nice Urg :kisses3:. Buses are by far the best way to get about if you have a little time - it's like a tour trip the whole time.

  • Hi Hypno,

Just found your new thread, and yep the first post of it made my eyes sting a little.

Life can be challenging, losing people we love through separation, bereavement etc but you are stoic. I'm afraid I haven't been, I have sulked and given in to depression from losing young friends and family from cancer and I don't feel good about it, but it is what it is. It's good having someone around like you, to show a better way, it doesn't make me feel I should have done better but it makes me want to do better perhaps next time we have a loss. (No pressure!)

Don't want to embarrass you by making you sound saintly but you are doing pretty good!!

Just popping in again to catch up with this one (although I've subscribed I've no idea where the email alerts are going :)). Sounds as though your plans are coming along nicely. Matched betting is a complete mystery to me, so won't even start trying to fathom it out.

KC, I only ever use betfair - it works well enough for what I want to do.

gallygirl, am currently cooking saag aloo.......no brussels involved, but lots of spinach and potatoes :D I will let you know when I do use the tin at the back of the cupboard.

Thank you for all the ideas for hols/trips......all being noted :T

It will be so so lovely to have a week away in the summer. We rarely get summer breaks because of the amount of skiing they do, and our attempt at a holiday last year was a bit of an issue because OH was so ill.

I've sat down with the children and we've started to put together an itinerary, to include theme parks, a shopping village for DD, a day in Stratford for me, etc etc. They are very definitely looking forward to it.

    :):):)
