Hi Hypno, congratulations on your new diary (I've subscribed), I don't post much......mainly just ramble a lot on my own diary (and lurk a bit on others). I really liked the Reiki "just for today" idea in your opening post, I've never heard that one before, but I'm going to try and follow it too.........starting tomorrow!

Thanks SL.....I quite like the "just for today" principles. They really do seem to bring things into perspective for me. I'd not heard about them until I started reiki about 5 years ago, but they really do make sense. I just need to be reminded of them from time to time!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. KC, I only ever use betfair - it works well enough for what I want to do.
I re-read your post, hypno - I'd got it completely wrong, thanks for this.Being a working mum (or when both parents work) really is hard, but one thing I can say, is that my two haven't been unduly disadvantaged by the fact that they were looked after by nannies/childminders/holiday clubs/themselves in the holidays.
Absolutely agree - its the parents that are traumatised these days by school holidays!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Yes, thank you turfy. I have had a pretty good weekend, really. Nothing spectacular, but that's about what I need right now! Just nice and "normal"

Evening all!
I hope everyone is well. At about Easter time, TFL also do free Oyster cards. I also have a spare one that can be posted up to you if need be... Just need to find it amongst all my stuff!
Well bring on the figures being decimated, that's amazing you've been able to keep your head above water for that!
Bring on the rest of the diary! :T:beer: Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!
Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!
How do you amass £70k in a year?! :eek:0 -
Just caught up on old and new diaries Hypno.
Holiday plans sound good - I was amazed how often buses ran in London - don't think I waited longer than 10 minutes when I was visiting dd earlier in the year and that was in bad snow!!! - they'd stopped running here LOL.
You could teach some of the people I work with a thing or two about positive relationships where children are involved in a split - I haven't believed how bitter some people I know have been - and all in front of the littlies. I admire both you and your ex for that. It can't be easy after all the time you have spent together but you are going about it the best you canin difficult circumstances. You are adjusting well - there will be good, play acting days and downright bad days - little by little the good days WILL WIN!!!!!!!
Is the bed getting any better - you might need a 'just for tonight......' theme too!!
Budgets look tight but I have every confidence you will manage it.
The bonus sounds good - we have been told we wil be getting 1% payrise but it will not be until September not April as we expected (won't be backdated either) - it's a standing joke now at work 'what we will buy with our 1%' - hardly worth the paperwork involved - but at least we still have jobs
Just for today - I'll think positive!!!!!
