Well, now I have cashed in my vouchers, I am left with £8.50 worth.....so will be looking to accumulate some more one way or another I reckon!! I don't mind doing picnics for most of it, but the occasional meal out would be welcome and good for my sanity, I am sure :D

psst... there's an innkeeper's lodge about 3 or 4 miles out of warwick and stratford with free, pretty near unlimited, continental breakfast.... travelodge seems to be leamington or stratford

also,4% back on travelodge via topcashback versus 2% on quidco... enjoy ;)

The Travelodge is in (ish) Stratford, so there's a chance to have a walking rather than a driving day, which makes it a break for Hypno too. Lots of Travelodges/other hotels are car access only in the middle of nowhere, so finding somewhere where Hypno can have a bit of time off, or a shorter day is I think part of the package, so that they can all have a holiday, also near supermarkets for cheap picnic topups.

Sorry, it's been my thoughts when posting, I'm basing it on what I'd want to do in the situation, Hypno.

You are bang on track se - although it is a holiday centered around the children, I don't want to hate it, or exhaust myself even more! I don't mind being busy, but it has to be a good balance, and without spending much more than I would spend for a week at home (obviously, petrol would be extra, but I am thinking food stuff.....pizza express deals, picnics for lunches and the like).

  • Hi there Hypno, your opening post could be me to the letter. I relate to so much of how you feel, and whilst its natural to think otherwise, you ARE doing so brilliantly. You have a plan, you are organised, you are giving yourself some slack, and as each day goes by you are making the moves in the right dirction. I can relate to the reiki principles totally. Good for you. Take care of yourself, and "just for today" be proud of how far you've come!

It might be child holiday centred, but this is also the first new unit holiday, so it needs to be centred about the new family as a whole too, and that includes you as a priority too :grouphug:
