Pen's phase 2 -the long debt slog and de-clutter

Hey Pen,
Glad the car is sorted and came in cheaper - that's something!
I love it when you go out adhoc for lunch or something, they always seem the best times
Teaching son to iron own clothes will set him up well for his future and girlfriends :rotfl:0 -
Hi Kel and Choc, the meal was very good. I think I'm going to keep a change jar for this sort of thing in the future.
I've had a very busy day here going through all of our wardrobes and de-cluttering and tidying and I'm really pleased with the result. I was pretty ruthless with DH and DS's and have left them a big pile of old/too small clothing to bag up for charity. (I don't think they mind really they just can't be bothered to sort it out for themselves).
I'm still panicing all the time about work and money and its really starting to affect my sleep again. I'm normally an early riser, but waking at 2 or 3 o'clock is really starting to take its toll. I'm also having one of those months where I can't do much about it. There are so many things going on that mean DH can't get a job and I can't do anything about mine. So I'm sort of stuck for the time being. All I can do really is try to not spend, stash as much back as I can whilst still debtbusting and try and control the groceries.
So just got to try and take it easy, find some nice free things to do and keep my chin up.This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -

*Hugs* Pen, I don't know what to sugest really. With the world on your shoulders it's not surprising that you are suffering sleep loss. Just please take care of yourself, chill and relax.
As for free things to do, well there are a few that you could do as a family, walks/picnics/museums that type of thing. If you were looking for things to do alone I am a bit stumped to be honest
Just take care :A0 -

Aww, hope you manage a full nights sleep tonight. I really think money/debt has a lot of impact on sleep- I can't remember a time i've slept through until my alarm.....a long long time ago!
Well done on the de-cluttering, it's kind of theraputic in a way isn't it?!
I think if you are able to work on those areas that you can control i.e. groceries then you'll feel a lot betterIt's hard though....this month i've wasted SO much money and feel like i've worked hard for nothing again
Keep chin up Pen, you're doing amazing xx0 -
