Thursday already, where did the week go

I am skint this week. We are off to London at the weekend to see family and I'm saving all my spare cash for that (as if we have any!) so that I'm not tempted to get my cards out of my purse. This means I've only paid the minimums of the debt too this month and I'm really really annoyed about it - I prefer to pay off as much as I can without bankrupting us :D

Still it will be nice to be away. Work has been crazy as usual but luckily in my other job one of the weekly appointments has finished and so I will actually get my day off to myself. I am so pleased, it will make a huge difference to my week.

The studying is going ok but now my other job had decided I'm doing a qualifcation for them too so I've got to juggle both for a couple of months which could be a bit hairy.

Everyone is well at Pen towers. DS can't wait for half term. DH is still trying to get his redundancy money and find a new job so not a lot changes there. Decluttering continues as it looks like we need to clear out the attic now to have some major repairs done on the roof. Fingers crossed the insurance will help cover some of it (but I'm not too hopeful tbh).

Right, off to find the cases out for tomorrow and try and persuade DS that he won't need his xbox for the weekend!
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Ooh new hair do and caravan hols booked, get you ;)

You sound busy with course, nice in other ways though - I love learning new things. Still would like to start a course in Sept, perhaps look a local colleges near to new house and see if anything takes my fancy.

Hope you are finding some me time to relax xx

Hi Choc, DH gave me a bit of a lecture about 'me time' last night - thinks I'm over doing it a bit. So once half term is over we are going to see what I can do away from the family for a few hours each week. He's already offered to do childcare duties next week so I don't need to worry about jugglying work or anything which is nice (sorry that makes him sound bad like he wouldnt of done it anyway as he's home but what he means is he'll do everything apart from go to work for me - if that makes sense).

Just read your diary and I've decided to go back to paying a little bit each day again as I find it makes me feel like I am trying to get out of this debt. I don't cope well doing monthly lump payments even if the amounts are the same it doesn't feel as good.

Aah bless your OH, he sounds lovely :) For me its the other way round as I work from home now more or less every day and OH has very busy job and funny hours so i'm probably more like your OH in trying to keep on top of everything so the rare couple of days off he has to himself rather than spent cleaning and tidying.... I get a lot of me time just by myself most days whereas he gets the odd day or two per set of shift and for instance he had two days off this week but one of those he had to go to court so only one day off and so on....

I really want to get on top of my debt now, I love the fact that i've made some fab friends on here it's the plus side to this debt but def want to make this year count and get my outgoings down as much as poss....I want little ones soon and if I don't do something then I feel i'll forever be putting it off :(

Hope you are putting your feet up tonight ;)xx

I love 'visiting' London as a tourist but hate hate hate travelling into the city for work....thankfully it's only once or twice a month now rather than daily commutes....:j

We are going to be staying with family, up by Epping forest (sp?). I think they've got the war museum lined up and not sure what else. We will be out and about all weekend as we have 3 children to keep entertained :D

Weather looks a bit dodgy for tomorrow though :o
