I did try to do not-a-lot today but I'm not very good at it :rotfl:

Loads and loads of washing done, I even ventured into DS bedroom to clear up

I am sat about doing nothing now though. Just DH and me tonight (although it feels a bit quiet without DS here).

Hope everyone has a good Saturday evening. Pen x
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Morning Kel. I have only just rolled out of bed after sleeping very soundly last night. Best lie in I have had for ages and I feel well chilled out now :)

I don't have to pick DS up until mid afternoon so I am just going to potter about today. Starting with a nice bath to use up some of my new body shop stuff I think.

It should be a NS day again too (fingers crossed), I think I can put off getting petrol and groceries until Wednesday evening and then I get paid on Thursday so it should all even out quite nicely.

    Have a good Sunday everyone.

Hope you have a lovely relaxing morning Pen. I'm like you, find it hard to sit still for long - OH always tries to get me to do nothing, I just get restless :rotfl:That said yesterday I managed it ;)

    Enjoy your Sunday xx

I have had a really good day (and waking up with a clear head helped). I had a course to do over the other side of town and I managed to get myself and a friend over there during rush hour traffic without panicing or getting lost - amazing for me :D

No spends as I was stuck in a class room all day and I've come back to DH cooking me dinner. I feel so chilled I'm going to tackle the ironing mountain in a minute

This has left me to do a bit of thinking about my priorities regarding work though. As soon as DH is employed again I think I'm going to do some shuffling about and perhaps change one of my current jobs to nearer home. Never thought I would want to do it as it was my career for years and it is a really good, satisfying job but I don't think it 'does it' for me anymore. Perhaps my horizons are widening (or something).

I also need to do some de-cluttering tonight as I put the digi cam somewhere safe when we came back from hols and I've not uncovered it yet :)

I'm full of self pity and woe is me the last couple of days and its starting to annoy me after my positive day on Monday. So I'm looking for things to feel good about:

    1. We are all well, happy and healthy
    2. There is food in the cupboard and we've just enough to pay the mortgage & bills
    3. DH out of work isn't forever - he will get another job eventually and when he does I can really start debt bashing again.
    4. I have jobs that I love and my family make me feel good.

Right, thats 4 points to bear in mind this morning. I will keep my chin up. There will be light at the end of the tunnel. Being skint is just one of those things sent to keep me busy - nothing to worry about. :)

Off for another strong coffee I think ....

Nice positive start Pen, I know exactly how you feel - sometimes negativity just follows you around like a dark cloud until you do something to kick it, and you just have :) They are lovely positives :)

Have yourself a lovely day x

    Cheers Choc.

I have loads to be thankful for and my positive attitude has lead to a really nice day at work. A couple of visitors came in and I spent most of the day eating cake and drinking coffee with them. It was a good break which I would have missed out on if I had my miserable head on and hid in the office all day.

Came home to tea on the table (courtesy of DH) as well - what more could a girl want :D

  • Hi Pen, really nice to see you in high spirits. I do agree that being positive helps with your mood and surroundings. However when you are low being positive doesn't come easy does it. I hope a lot of good changes are around the corner for you :D

    Take care :A
