Everyone and their cousin is a lawyer on the internet, or so it seems from the forums and chat rooms. Simply search for the phrase "im a lawyer" in google and see how many forums show up in the list. It's a common bullying or defence cry on every forum out there. I'm surprised there isnt a "I'm a lawyer" key on everyones keyboard.
    Or a police officer :D

Funnnier when they are police, just mention impersonating an officer.
    Soon shuts them up.

I'm just glad OP that you are taking this with a pinch of salt- other people may have been intimidated into changing their feedback.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

That got me too, and I managed to use it in a conversation today, so it came in useful!

    Thanks gingernutmeg!

There was a news story about libel over negative fb doing the rounds in 2008. Does anyone remember if onsalexuk actually made it to court, or ran out of hot air?

From what i can remember, Im sure it got thrown out of court

Just Googled her and it seems she is a college lecturer. It doesn't appear that her students have a very high opinion of her either - one of them describes her as follows:

Why would someone in such a position act in such a way?

I'd just ignore her, as she sounds like a complete nutter!! Don't even bother replying!

Any attempt at a claim would be thrown out of court.

If she sends any more ridiculous emails, report her to ebay. Personally I would contact her place of work, and speak to her boss, as she's obviously not very good at her job if that's the sort of rubbish she's spouting!!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

"...the bag was not very stained"

Cripes! The seller even admits that it was stained. What a complete load of tosh. What should they expect if they're going to sell trash, a pat on the back?! Absolutely ridiculous, they seem like a stupid bully. I'd certainly report them if you keep getting pestered.

I thought the small claims court was the DIY option - why would she want to pay for a solicitor? And isn't it only up to about £3k? Fair enough, that's more than you'd ever want to pay someone who's clearly nuttier than a squirrel's fart, but obviously you haven't done her *that* much damage and I'm guessing that she really doesn't get the legal system at all. What a plank.

:jI love your, nuttier than a squirrels fart. Even if it did make me spit digestives everywhere.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Why do people get their guts in such an uproar, is her life damaged I wonder because you left factual feedback.
Tell her to get a grip & move on.

    Simply walk away.

Don't get into a conversation with the seller, direct all their emails to Ebays dispute department, tell them the seller is harrassing you regarding feedback and they will be very quick to get the seller to back off. They ban accounts for this sort of harrasment every day.

If you're worried about your comment seeming like libel or slander, ask Ebay to change the wording of the comment to "NOT SATISFIED WITH SELLER OR GOODS, REFUND RECIEVED, WONT USE AGAIN" but that you wish the status of the feedback to remain as negative.

Trying to enter into a discussion with people like this is like fanning a fire. 100% positive ratings are valuable on ebay so when someone leaves a negative they try everything they can to get it changed, Ebay won't remove a negative unless it is in breach of its T&C so the only way a negative feedback can be removed is if the buyer agrees to it. Hence the bullying tactics and the threat of legal action.

So best just to ignore them and walk away.

I hope the fanning fire isn't in the same room as the farting squirrel.

You guys have just made my day. I haven't laughed so much in ages (there were tears!!). I know that's immature of me, and I should know better, but fart jokes are still the best. Anyway, just wanted to wish you the best with with dame crazy. I have been having problems with a seller. Has been going on for a month now.

top advertised as a 12, was a size 8. emailed politely to say it was the wrong size, did not receive any response, so 7 days after the auction ended filed a dispute. She straight away refused a refund, and then asked me to prove it was the wrong size. I sent photos of the label and a link to a website that sold that brand of clothing, which also had a size conversion chart.

Then she said ok, send it back in the same condition and when I receive it I'll issue a refund. Asked for the address and had to wait a week for this. Sent it last friday, and after checking for the refund, still nothing on wednesday this week. Emailed her and 'oh for some reason it doesn't seem to have arrived'

Having anticipated that this would be the next move, I advised that it had a tracking number and they had left a while you were out card last saturday. The reponse was 'oh, i'll try and get it tomorrow and issue your refund', that was thursday, it's now obviously saturday, and still nothing. I have given her till 12 today to have the money in my Paypal account-as the case automatically closes tomorrow. If it is not in there by 1, I am making a Paypal claim, and she can feed them her crap. Muppets!!!
