I wouldn't as the OPs ID could then be easily tracked back. Posting IDS on an open form is never advisable

What on earth is 'legal slander'? By its very definition, slander is not legal. There's no such thing as legal slander. Referring to something as 'legal slander' suggests that it's a perfectly valid comment to make ...

Also, it's a written statement, not an oral one. If it was a problem, technically it's libel. You'd hope a member of the legal profession would be able to recognise the difference.

I can just imagine the court hearing now.

Seller - She claimed the bag was stained! This is slander and libel!
Judge - Well, was the bag stained?
You - yes *shows photos as evidence*
Seller - But I bought it from eBay and I was perfectly happy with it!

    :rotfl:

I'd actually quite like to see it go to court, so you could come back and report that they laughed her out of it!

  • Send them an email back asking them to keep you informed of the court dates so that you may inform your solicitor.

Obviously a complete chancer hoping that pretending to have some legal clout will scare you.

Technically, it's not slander anyway. It's written, not verbal so it's defamation of character. Because of the strange way the law works, she actually could take you to court for DoC, to get remuneration for any lost sales your feedback has caused. Any judge with sense (if such a creature exists) should chuck it out though.

Is she a business seller? If she's not and she keeps hassling you, report her to ebay seeing as she's said she bought it off ebay before selling it on to you.

No, she's a personal seller. I'll wait and see what happens next!

Is it even possible to slander an ebay ID?
