Hi Lynz, we don't do DJs, we are all live bands but I can give you the contact details for one of our clients who are event organisers but do all DJ work. They call us when they have a band, so we work with them a lot. If the OH is any good at crew work, rigging, loading, change overs on stage, setting a stage, you know the kind of thing then for sure we will book him for some gigs. he doesn't need to be hugely experienced, we are happy to train people, even having a full driving licence helps because we can use him for pick ups and deliverys plus driving vans to gigs. Lots of our crew don't drive or have over 6 points so we can't use them for driving.
Basically all we need from a crew member is to be quick, to set a tidy stage and to be able to lift gear. PM me if he is interested. We have pretty much passed through our very busy season, june and july were manic, but it's a bit quieter now, we do get a lot of last minute events in though so we never can tell.

The house is almost done, I need a carpenter still and we now need a plasterer to repair a wall (stripped wallpaper and the 60 year old plaster crumbled) But, we are on the market, just trying to get it done before people come to view. I am working reduced hours this weekend to get it done before monday. The estate agent has had quite a bit of interest already so I hope it will sell quickly. It is looking lovely apart from the hole in the wall and a little bit of carpentry.

Good luck with your house, I hope it goes easily for you. Moving into rented was the best move I could have made, I am loving it here. The kids love it too. We have a big green out the back surrounded by houses, everyone meets there in the evenings for a social with a few beers, the kids all play together during the daytime. It's a very friendly place. Have you looked at rental places yet? Hey, come to Hertfordshire and become my childminder... I am struggling to find one LOL.

Anyway, enjoy the festival, I wish I could come. Have an ice cream for me!

really feel for you - am also in a 'dark' place at the moment (feel everything could come crashing down any day now - secret debts, health problems, can't ever have children - tried IVF which failed ) I'm trying to hang on in there so please, you hang on in there too! A tip passed to me: to have a relaxing aromatherapy massage contact local beauty school where supervised students will give you a massage for a fraction (or free?) of the cost you would normally pay. You deserve it x

Lynz, so sorry everything is on top of you. I can't add any more than all the others have said except, hang in there. Life is a long hard road and s**t happens. You have done so well and will do so again - hugs to you.

  • Hi Lynz

Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time. I can completely sympathise with the whole smear thing. I've had years of hassle and numerous tests, and had 'abnormal' smears one after the other. I'm now down to annual tests rather than every few months which is encouraging. :j

My mum also had pre-cancerous cells and I remember her also being scared, but she's now absolutely fine and I am sure you will be too ;)

I hope everything starts to pick up for you shortly.

    love

I hope things get better for you quickly.

The lodger will be gone in less than 2 days!:j

New place will be less hot and you can look forward to getting things how you like them!:j

Smear may not be as bad as you fear and if it is - you should have beeen found early enough for things to be sorted out.

Great big hug and please let us know how you get on.

You so do not deserve this and hope things improve for you.
