Ok, I can debate and do not have to resort to childish exchanges, been there done that can't be bothered anymore.;)
Time for the alter egos to take their tablets I think?
Just a case of waiting for the moderators to either delete or "prune" the thread(s).

Think you all need to eat humble pie, after telling me and betting me last night that i was not going to be accepted for a decent prime card, but in the end i just sailed though,i do think sometimes though dont get arsey any of you, but i do think the only people who knows who is good for credit and really knows about credit scoring and what they are talking about is the companies thereselves..
No mate, we bet that you wouldn't get accepted for three prime cards.
The JL card app can still be declined.
If they are anything like RBS / Natwest, they'll score you on Equifax, send you out an agreement to sign, then check against Experian once they receive the signed documents back and their AVU (Application Verification Unit) or HSBCs equivalent will throw it out.
This is exactly what happened when I applied for an HSBC current account in February.
Oh, and Niddy,

But we're trying to spell it out to you - provisionally approved mate is not accepted....
They do not know if you have been accepted until you return the forms... that is what we're saying to you - we know the system, pointless trying to argue!
I'll make you laugh, with RBS they actually went as far as sending the card then the same day (in another letter) was card cancellation whereby AVU declined the account although central processing had authorised it....
Wait until the card is in your hand - then be happy.

Barclays went even further than that with myself.
They opened a full current account and then a few weeks later sent letters giving 14 days notice that the account and ones that I had open for over six months already will be closed, they won't disclose the reasons, and won't entertain applications for any facilities with them from myself again.
Never incurred a penny charges with them, always had a four figure turnover on the accounts, and no new adverse information had appeared on my credit file.
By contrast Barclaycard gave me an account despite having defaulted on a Barclaycard three years prior and never paying it off...
Financial institutions can to further checks whenever they like, even once you've been using the accounts for a while.
It is my supposition that the accounts were closed by Barclays because the only ID they ever took from me was a photocopy of my photocard driving license and nothing else whatsoever - which Niddy later pointed out does not fulfil the money laundering laws - my guess is opening the full account triggered an audit check of some kind, they noticed they were in breach of the money laundering regs, and thought "oh !!!!!!, better get this off our books sharpish!".
Of course they'll never admit this but it seems the most likely reason

It mightn't be further checks in the form of another credit search, rather a manual review by some form of application verification unit or audit department to make sure the computer has made the correct decision
There again, there may be no problems whatsoever and you could have a nice card, with a good financial institution winging it's way to you with no fear of it being withdrawn a couple of days later.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
