I make some rice (enough for 2 days) and just add some paprika and cayenne pepper and just add some prawns (defrost overnight) or chicken to it. I warm it up at work in the microwave then put some Thai sweet chilli dip/sauce on it......0

I don't like sandwiches much either, but I do like wraps and pita pockets with different fillings in.
Or: keep yesterday's tomato based pasta as a pasta salad for the following day, with some chunky salad vegetables.
Or: if you have a microwave at work, rice and ratatouille is a nice change to the normal packaged fare. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Hi guys
Thanks for the response. I usually have things like a pizza baguette (if that makes sense), or sometimes a jacket spud though i tend to get bored of those easily. I really fancy trying soup but I'm not even sure what sort of taste I would like - I know I'm not particularly keen on anything that tastes sweet when its supposed to be savoury, spicy or particularly creamy - I'm realy boring I know!
I dont really eat quiches or pasties - I eat far too much rubbish like chips and stuff.
Sounds mad but I do really really love mozzarella especially melted. I'd love to get a bit more variety in my diet - do you think some people will just always be fussy? I do try things but quite often i don't like themProud to be dealing with my debts!DFW Nerd No. 634 LBM: 3rd time - Dec2008 I NEED TO BEAT IT THIS TIME!Total Loan Debt = £[strike]13,737.80[/strike] 13,042.44, Total Non-loan Debt = £[strike]5,289.33[/strike] 4,704.45 - Total= [strike]19,027.13[/strike] 17,746.89 FEB 09Freelance earnings - Feb 09 = £260 so far Make £30 a day in Feb - £260.40 of £840 5 NSD in Feb 09 - 1 of 50 -
Well done for asking the question.

Another idea, todays lunchbox for me is pitta bread stuffed with peppers, salsa and cajun 'chicken'. (and on the side, carrots and cucumbers and a pot of lemon jelly with mandarins in).
The cajun chicken is just a matter of quickly stirfrying your chicken with a bit of seasoning the night before (im veggie so used quorn, and it took less than 5 mins to cook this morning).0 -
What dont you like about sandwiches, is it the fact that the bread can go a bit soggy?
Found a good hint on that the other day, if you put a 'moisture barrier' between the wet part of the filling and the bread it stops it going soggy - to an extent just spreading your marge/butter right to the edges would work, lettuce, or some ham or something etc would too.0 -
I use the microwave at work a lot for my meals - normally the basis is brown rice (as its a lot better for you that normal rice) and any kind of healthy saucy topping - usually a spicy lentil dahl, some chickpea and bean combo or a chilli/pasta sauce or something similar that I russle up in bulk or save from the night before. The lentils and rice option can last me a week (but can get boring) and only costs £2 - i would survive on the big brother budgets easy!0

If you like pizza baguette you can buy a baguette or small ciabattas/paninis (two packs for £1 at asda!) spread some pesto on one, then add a couple of slices of mozarella & some nice tomatoes. tastes ok cold but lovely if you can grill it til the cheese melts or heat up in the microwave at work. quick to make & much cheaper than buying from a shop :-)0

I get fed up with sarnies too, but to ring the changes:
Buttered teacake or fruit bun with a slice of cheese inside - tasty!
A couple of slices of buttered malt loaf
Boiled eggs wrapped with thin ham0
