Just went and counted my bra drawer - I currently have 31, mostly from Marks or Ultimo. A complete mix of colours and styles - I wear them for myself, love knowing I have something glamorous on underneath my ugly and unflattering work clothes!
I also have 2 pairs of knickers for each bra, plus lots of plain black and white knickers for period days etc, so 70+ pairs of knickers! I never go out without matching underwear on - just in case I get run over and am rushed to hospital - can you imagine the shame of all those lovely doctors seeing you without matching underwear on!!!!! I'm not shallow at all...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I do not need to go and count. I have two. And the elastic's on its last legs on one of them.
If my Figleaves order ever bloody turns up it will be 3 though (two nice new boulder holders and the saggy one in the bin).0 -
Oh God I've easily got over 100 pairs of knickers - I had to divide my knicker drawer up so I could find them all! Matching ones for my 'fancy' bras, lots of plain black or white shorts / thongs for everyday wear and then not so good ones at the back for wearing at night for ladies days! Plus a wee section for those that don't get work outside the house0

Not read all of this thread but I sell bras and I am a trained fitter. For larger ladies, if you have been measured at M&S then please go and get fitted (not measured, there is a difference) by someone at John Lewis, Debenhams or an Independant. I've had 3 ladies recently sized by M&S at 42/44/46 DD and E cup sizes to find that they are actually a 36HH and J.
M&S will fit you into sizes they have - not what fits. It makes me so cross. Another customer bought 10 bras at M&S in a 44C and she was a 38E. But do not get me started on that else I'll be here all night.
There is a newish brand to the UK made by Eveden, who make Fantasie and Freya. It is called Elomi and goes up to a 56 back sizes but these bras are gorgeous and very supportive. http://www.elomilingerie.com/0 -

I usually have to spend around £35 per bra (38F - 40EE depending on manufacturer/style). And I loathe and detest underwired bras (sooo uncomfortable) yet struggle to find anything in my size that is "soft-cup" - any recommendations?
One of my sisters has loads of matching sets - but she also has boobs like asprins on an ironing board! LOL!!
I used to have a sports bra called "Shock Absorber" - thats truely a bra for big girls isn't it?? :rotfl::rotfl:
Frugal, look for the Fantasie Gabrielle in soft cup - style 6330. Runs to 40 band and G cup. Matching brief and thong available. Freya also make a sports bra in colours: Look for Freya Active bras.0 -

Where would you suggest going for proper fitting? Someone else suggested La Senza so might try there. Im wearing a 34C and sure Im a 32D or DD but can never find anything to fit. Would you suggest measuring yourself is worthwhile or just go somewhere and try loads of bras on? Im not working so cant spend very much. (currently buy cheap M&S ones)
Sorry to hijack the thread!!!
The best place to get a bra fitting is somewhere that sells a variety of brands - John Lewis, Debenhams, Bravssimo or an Independant. High street stores such as M&S, Tesco, BHS, Primark make bras for their own stores so it does not matter if they follow any sort of sizing rule and this is why so many women end up wearing the wrong size.0 -
I have loads of knickers but none of them match my bras. I dont own any nice underwear, just comfy stuff. My BF doesnt pay any attention to that kind of thing and Im not fussed either so I never bother. Its sooo expensive too.:smileyhea0

My current favourite bra is really comfy, a great fit and got a great line on it.
Cost £1 from Ann Summers.
OP - remember it's recommended that bras lose their support after 12 months. That's official advise, so that means they last about 2 years! Just get a couple now, a couple in 6 months, and as you bin the older ones as the elastic fails, you can treat yourself to more.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Ive recently lost weight and noticed none of my bras seem to fit as my boobs have shrunk  a bit. I went to M&S but wasnt sure if they do fittings so went to Debenhams as I was fitted in a different town's store a few years ago. The lady looked at me, while I had my big coat on.. this is how it went
Woman: "What size are you in now"?
Me: "40D or DD - but Ive lost weight recently and my bras dont fit well"
Woman "You dont look small! () Try a 38D, go pick bras yadda yadda and we will see how they look"
I go pick a couple of bras, try them on. One fits horribly, the other not too bad, cup seems fine but big fat bulges under my arms. Take them out and woman is there. (The bras I mean! lmao! just read it back haha)
Woman: "Well? Did they fit?"
Me: "Um.. no not really, this one is horrid and the other made me have bulges under my arms."
Woman: "Go put it back on and I'll come and look"
Did as I was told althought wnating to leave.. lol. Woman comes to see and says...
"Youve lost weight?" Me: "yes... and this is what I mean *pointing to bulges*"
Woman: "Well, you see... thats YOU, theres nothing I can about it".
Went to BHS and the woman said definitely NOT a 38D. Measured me as a guide and said I still seem to be the same size but maybe try some different styles and see what fits best etc. Maybe try an E cup. Went away with no brasDefinitely wont try Debenhams here again!
I think im fighting a losing debenhams battle here!! Trouble is we all have off days, i bet people have moaned about me in the past (i dunno why im trying to justify peoples behaviour when its that bad) Anyhow, sounds to me like youre cups are too small if your spilling out where you were. Of course you might, like anyone, have some overhang but you want this not to be boob. If you've lost a bit of weight its surprising how it goes from your back, so i would try a 38 but do a DD. The 40d/dd might have been wrong in the first place.0
