Ohhhhhh lots of newbies - hello all
I've been very, very busy.....DD2 will be very pleased when she gets home.
Stripped her room out and scrubbed it, painted her chimney breast and alcoves in brilliant white (all I had in the shed)...the rest of the room is lilac....rearranged all the furniture...and DD1 covered some canvases in fabric and ribbons and cut out some huge letters to stick on the walls.....it looks fab....better still that she's got no idea.
Managed to get 3 loads of washing done and line dried too (and it's all put away)

Well, I've had a nice afternoon. Sister phoned and wanted a lift into town so we went and did the Starbucks taste challenge. The new instant is absolutely vile but when I go into town tomorrow I'm going to go into the other branches and try it to get my free coffee vouchers from them. Sister says I'm mad and that all the free coffee in the world isn't worth tasting that muck again, but since I love Starbucks and it'll get me a free coffee a week for a month I'll do it. Then we came here to pick up her crap, which is great - I have a hallway again! And went to M&S so I could pick up some more of the cheap ready meals, it's such good value it's silly not to. It's brightened me up too, I'm not feeling so bleurgh.
So tomorrow she's coming round to help me take a load of my crap to the tip, and put some furniture together.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
My younger son has a bit of a nasty cough. I didn't buy any cough medicine today for him as I remember the doctor telling me that they didn't do any good a few years ago. I also threw out three nearly full bottles last week of the stuff. I seem to recall someone's son (Bunny's son?) had a cough last week - was it Vicks rub on the chest that was recommended by somebody?
Thanks for any replies on this one.0 -

What time will your OH be leaving tomorrow? Have you any plans for the day?0

Suzy - She'll be home about 8ish....hope she likes it.
Dangers - Yes the vic on the chest and back (and a little smidge rubbed into the feet) will help....I always pop some on a tissue and put it just inside the pillow case too for extra effect.
Sally - Good luck for tomorrow - hope everything goes smoothly - will be thinking of you and B x"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
