The radley bag was a fake. The dog was way too big and the lining wasn't leather. Oh well.

Had you paid for it or was it in a window display?

I adore my Radleys (I have three, one a gift and two from the outlets). They are good quality so last years - when I stopped using my first Radley I gave it to my mum, who still uses it now. I'm waiting to treat myself to a Radley purse. I also don't feel too bad about having them as I sold an old Radley purse on ebay after using it for years, so I feel like they are not a total waste. Whereas I had two BNWT M&S handbags and looked on ebay to find I would be lucky to sell them for about £2!

My day so far: 3 loads of washing out (one had been sitting in the machine waiting to go out :o) and have collected my new library book. I've been good and resisted buying it in Sainsburys. It is the new Anthony Worral Thompson diabetes cookery book. I love his books so if I like more than a few recipes from this one (i.e. too many to copy out) then I will put it on my Christmas list.

Another load in the machine. Plan is to hang it out on my way out - better check I turned the machine on! ;)

  • Hi Linda and Katsu,

It had come into a charity shop that my mum manages, I've no idea what she's going to do with it now.

I know what you mean about them holding their value and lasting an age - they are very good quality. I got a purse from the tula outlet store, it was last seasons stock but for £18 I don't care.

    Better start saving the pennies.

    Hi Linda :)

lmc - I agree who cares about last season stock - I treated myself to a green large bag for work and the first time I used it someone admired it - how would they know when it was last on the high street? I love the Radley outlet and can't wait until I decide I can afford a new purse. My current leather purse is not a Radley and in less than 1 year the lining has torn, so I feel it was a waste of money.

I need a new handbag, my normal one's got a hole in the bottom. So I've either got my little one which only just holds my purse and nothing else, or my huge one which is actually my bag for holidays which holds everything but is way too big for normal use. I need one that'll hold my big purse, a book and my diary. Problem is I hate spending money on bags and usually pay less than a tenner. But since they fall apart so often I'm thinking it's a false economy.

Oooh Radley purse eh? *scuttles off to trawl the web*

I've seen a Radley passport cover and did wonder about it, but TBH who really ever sees them. And I don't travel enough to warrant it. Purse sounds a good idea, but I got a Jasper Conran one from OH Christmas before last and I still really like it.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

It is and the fact it's narrated by Michael Burke. I first thought it was spoof like the Office.

Surely no-one can act like that all the time? [Insert confused smile]
