Ames - I treated myself to M&S food today :) - and I might be criticised for this :o but I think they are good value for single people (espcially ones like me who are hopeless at cooking)

Funnily enough me and sister were saying exactly the same thing. If there's just one of you it's a lot cheaper than the normal supermarkets, unless you're making stuff completely from scratch using cheap cuts of meat (which I do when I can). Some stuff - like meat and fish - is a lot dearer, but most of it's the same price or less than supermarkets.

Sally, I guess you're seeing the effects of a very cold winter at work!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

No problem bookworm. No problem big or small, everyone on here will help you through it.

Pooky, I hope your daughter likes her new room. Dare I ask if black or skulls makes an appearance? ;)

Ames - enjoy tasting Starbucks finest tomorrow! :rotfl:

I need to study but can't be bothered, as I've had a glass or two of Baileys.

Thanks Ames :A I am a big fan of their small portions of ready prepared veg - as somebody who wouldn't want to eat cabbage or cauli everyday for a week I always end up throwing stuff away (or not eating veg at all :o)

Thanks LMC, at least I know now to ask for it with plenty of room for milk to dilute it! Sister had to fill her cup about half full of sugar to make it palatable!

    Mmm Baileys.

    Welcome Bookworm and other newbies/lurkers.

Bookworm, have you seen the thread in the diary section about books? In theory we're supposed to be stopping or at least reducing book buying, but in practice we seem to be getting more ideas for what to read...

The only thing that fits more snugly than a MRI machine is a coffin...

Could have been worse Tenmah. I got a bunch of flowers from work delivered that I had to sign for when my mother died. It was very nice of them n'all, but holding on to a small towel when signing wasn't a great look

My daughter had one recently and she said about how noisy it was. That is why I am so worried about my great-niece having one. They have said they will sedate her, but it will still be a worrying time for her.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
