Maybe I'm wrong in just wanting to be acknowledged today, I dont now
I don't think you are wrong Spud and I am really sorry it has happened. I know it doesn't help today but you know how close your family are and that is the main thing - that you all have time for each other along the way. Their thoughtlessness has been breathtaking, but I am sure it won't happen again now they have realised the consequence of their actions.OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

He probably feels bad for not dealing with it properly hun. It's hard to admit that you've hurt someone so bailing out is the easier option; as is suggesting that you are at fault here. Best let it blow over today and deal with it when he's feeling more receptive. I'll bet he knows exactly what went wrong today and the part he played in that.
TBH though, your kids are old enough to have done something without being reminded. It's awful when there's an atmosphere on what should be a special day. There is a lot of build up to these sort of days though - ads on TV, posters in shops and the pressure to have/provide the "perfect" Mother's Day is huge.
You know your children love you and probably feel awful for the way the day has turned out. I really hope you can salvage something from this....any chance you can take everyone out for a meal/get a take-away or maybe just a drive or a walk somewhere nice?
Don't be too hard on them. I know how you feel, but put on a brave face (even though you aren't feeling it) and do something nice as a family. They won't feel any worse than they do now, and you will feel better for it too.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -

Claire, sorry, but if your OH talked like that to me day in day out he'd get kicked out on his 'arris PDQ. Pint doesn't get away with stuff but he's seemed to grow up a bit more now I've talked things over with him and he knows I'm not like other people. He's even missing out on a free hotel room and !!!!-up cos it's the same day as my psych. I want to kill him sometimes but I think we all get like that.
