Just back from 7 days in Florida and our hotel shared a courtesy bus to the Disney Parks with one of the Comfort Inns but not sure which one. We were picked up after the Comfort Inn folk and dropped off first but from what the people on the bus said, it was cheap and cheerful
We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites in Lake Beuna Vista and I would certainly recommend it and would stay there again. While we were there they were renewing a lot of the furniture, sofa beds and chairs were being moved in daily!
Situated in a quiet location but with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, Sizlers being the nearest. Free self service breakfast buffet with 3 very popular waffle makers, bagels, muffins etc and usually a choice of fruit. Also free internet access via ethernet cable in every room and pleasant reception staff, especially Virgil who was very patient with me when we arrived and I seemed to have left my brain at home0 -

Can I ask a really stupid question? Does anyone know of the locations of any Subways in Orlando?
There IS a reason for me asking! We last went 4 years ago (for the 3rd time). We are veggies, so it is quite hard to find anything decent to eat in the Theme Parks (mainly going to both Universals, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens). We are due to go back later in the year, but last time we were fed up of eating the same fast food rubbish, so we thought, if we could buy a subway, on the way, at least it would be healthy, and cheap.
Last time we even had our own villa and had breakfast every morning, but by the end of the holiday we just wanted decent food, as we always arrived back too tired/late to eat (2 young children to see to, as well)
Sorry for the moan and long post. We DO love Orlando (and also had the same food problem staying in a Travelodge for a week in Surrey, as we were at Theme Parks every day)0 -
I've tried using the Subway Restaurant Locator but I can't get it to work
I know there's one not too far away from Sea World as we went there the last time we were in Florida , but I can't find the address of it. If I can find it i'll post it.Same old same old since 20080 -

There are tons of them. One every few blocks. There is one near the Nike Outlet on the 192. Turn right at the very bottom of I Drive onto the 192 and its about 400m on the right just after Water Mania. THere are a few more on the 192 as well. Also think there are a few on the main area of I Drive.
Goto yellowpages.com and it will show you on there0 -
If anyone wants to save money the entertianment book, which is a book full of vouchers, and it useslly $30, has been reduced to $12.99, $17.99 woith postage to the UK
We get it each time we go and it always pays for itself, lots of 20% or 25% offs as well as buy ine get one frees, better than the free coupons that are easy to pick up

Have stayed at the one in LBV which is down the road, not Universal one...HOWEVER, I have found all of them to be about the same. They are basic and functional...essentially you get what you pay for.
I found the maid got annoyed when we didn't rush off to the parks every morning (I used to live there, and had popped back over to see my friends and had an annual pass at the time so there was no need to rush!)...they seem to want to clean your rooms quite early. We did find our rooms lacked a Do Not Disturb notice but reception gave us one when we complained.
On the whole my experiences have been fair, not luxurious but nothing to complain about....
However, the last trip the toilet leaked in the first week and they didn't move us for 2 days, instead brought in Industrial driers and left our hotel room door open instead! (The floor was sopping wet):hello: TTC since 11/090 -
We stayed in the Comfort Inn universal a few months back, the hotel was clean but a little bit tatty but nothing to worry about. We are going back next year and are staying in the same hotel (its good value for money) all the hotels in the area are basically the same but what else do you need when your exploring the parks all day!
