    Hi all
    Bit of advice please.
I've decided to tour Florida, we fly Tuesday (we kick off with three nights in Daytona beach, then heading down to miami for the all nite weekend beach parties....hehe!).
We hope to do it bargain basement prices, and want to get around as much as we can in the fortnight, we're two lads and not 'too' bothered about the theme parks!

Are the motels dirt cheap, and i mean can we find cheaper than the ones we've found so far on the web?

    Also

What do I prefix to the number to phone home, and is there a 'cheapest' mobile provider to use, or do I get a US sim whilst over there?

    Cheers

    FTD

You can easily get a motel room for $30 a night.

Make sure you have at least the first nights hotel booked as you will need an address for the US visa waiver form.

You'll dial 011 44 then the usual UK number minus the leading zero.

    Enjoy the beach parties ;)

    cheers ;)

What sort of debit card does he have? If it's an Electron or Switch etc, then I guess there may be problems..... mine's a Visa Debit, and therefore should be accepted everywhere - the same as Visa Credit.

An excellent deal at Walt Disney World towards the end of the summer hols, or from 13/08 until 30/09

Get FREE dining when you book this specially-priced Walt Disney World vacation package for travel most nights 13/08/06-30/09/06. Essentially you get the Magic Your Way Plus Dining package for the price of the Magic Your Way vacation package!

The Dining element includes a Table Service meal, a Counter Service meal and a snack per person per day.

This deal saves a family of four (2 adults, two kids ages 3-9) $97.96 per day -- the cost of adding dining to a vacation package.

    Sample pricing:

5 nights / 6 days at a select Disney Value Resort for only $435 per adult. Add up to two children in the same room for only $176 per child ages 3-9. (Based on adult double occupancy in a standard room.)

This deal is available for other lengths of stay, other family sizes and other resorts (subject to availability), at varying prices. You must purchase at least a 1-Day Base Ticket with this package.

I've saved over $1000 by booking a Magic Your Way package at Disney's All Stars Music Resort for a week with a one day ticket (will buy Disney passes in the UK or, if the exchange rate continues to improve, an Annual Pass).

This isn't mentioned on Disney's UK site but you can book either by using the US site or through Small World Vacations - see https://www.mousesavers.com.

If you want, the Magic Your Way package includes collection and return of you and yours to MCO/Orlando International Airport. However, I plan to use Sanford and start the holiday at a non-Disney hotel so won't need that option.
