I have a small 10 year old , who was going to pretend tp be 9 when we go to Florida. I was going to buy Universal tickets from here, to take advantage of 3 extra days and free children's tickets. It's Kiosk pick up only , and it says you have to provide photo ID at turnstile. Does anyone know if they are sticking to this?

LOL This is a money saving forum not a money stealing forum.
If your child is 10 then you have to pay full price. Why should you get to pay less than everyone else with a 10 year old.

Why risk ruining the holiday for the price of a theme park ticket.

Not sure if this would be better on a new thread? However, here goes.

My wife and I are planning a golfing holiday to the Kissimmee area between 25th January and 8th February 2007.

Can anyone advise on reasonably priced golf courses we can play in an area of say 50 miles around Kissimmee. By reasonable I mean under $50 per round (preferably much less!!) (that is including everything like carts etc). We will be taking our own clubs.

We are not too bothered about the standard of the course, e.g.We have played once at Kissimmee Golf Club next to the little Municipal Airport and found that to be a good course but it doesn't rate highly on some web sites I've viewed.

We are not bothering with the Theme Parks this time so don't mind a bit of travelling about.

Also, are the golf courses busy at that time of year (End Jan/early Feb), will we need to book tee times before we leave the UK?

    Many thanks in advance

If you are not bothered about the theme parks why not try somewhere on the gulf coast instead - they have some of the best golfing in the USA down near Sarasota - or even do a week Kissimmee and a week down there. Some resorts such as Longboat Key Club etc include a round in your accommodation.

Re Disney dining plan, I would say that this is a brilliant idea if you are having ALL your meals within the Disney resort as in the long run could save a lot and you can also exchange meals for character meals etc. However if you are planning to leave the resort and visit other parks or area's it might not be worth it as you can only purchase the dining plan for the whole duration of your stay not just specific days.

i have had a look around and think the cheapest tickets i can find so far are £107 for th 4 park flexi and £173 for the 14 day ultimate disney

Am I right in thinking that if i get the 14 day ultimate disney pass i can use the disney monorail to get to and from all parks? does anyone know if this is avaiable on all tickets of just that one ( as we aren't hiring a car we need an option to get to all parks)

    cheers
You probably know this anyway but just wanted to point out that although you will be able to use Disney transportation much of it is by bus , I believe the monorails only serve EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.
Nothing in it, nothing in it but a ribbon round it .....

and the monorails seem to be so unreliable, unfortunately!

Every time I've been there to use one, they've broken down.

    cheers ;)

The first time we went in November, the weather was great about 80 F for the 2 weeks. Also it is after hurricane season. The crowds were also non existant and we could virtually walk on to every ride without queing.

We now always go the first 2 weeks in September as we love the heat 90 - 95 F, the hunidity can be terrible some days though, the crowds are still very low then with waits of no more than 5 minutes.

If you want a quite time to go avoid Christmas, Easter, May - Second Week in August, October week and any other US public holidays.

For good weather, warm and not too humid try March - May (avoiding easter) or Late September - Mid November.
