we stayed in the Bahama Bay Resort...( first choice and few others do packages to there) It is a little out of town...west of kissimmee. We had a three bedroomed appartment with two bathrooms..kitchen with all mod cons..and my favourite (sad I know) washing machine and tumble dryer. (have to say we only booked a two bedroom!) Was bigger than my house!
There were lots of pools..for kids of all ages. Didnt come to too much more than a hotel...but the accomodation was so much better was worth the extra.x x x0 -
Hello I'm back. Left sunny Florida yesterday (83F) and landed this morning in very chilly England.
We had a great trip. Flights which were with Virgin (£888 for 3 of us) were great. So much better than TCD. Nicer staff, nicer food, nicer planes.
Landed at MCO airport (previously landed at Sanford). Less than 1 hour from touchdown to collecting car.
Car from Dollar which I booked on line myself (see my previous posts as I'm too tired to remember). Cost about £372 for 2 weeks for 2 drivers with full insurance etc. It was a 7 seater like a Chrysler Vogager (call Town and Country I think). Only had 2000 miles on clock so was immaculate inside.
Accommodation Liki Tiki Resort, Kissimmee. Cost about £430 for 2 weeks for a 1 bed deluxe apartment with fully fitted kitchen (i.e. washer/dryer, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, toaster, blender, ice-maker). Overlooking lake and very near main pool. Heated pool in the centre with spa open until midnight. Free coffee and doughnots every morning. Very clean. Sound proofing from other rooms not brill but we didn't spend much time in room. Staff friendly and helpful. Other guests mainly americans. Very friendly.
We went to Disney, Seaworld, Universal, Kennedy space centre and Discovery cove.
When arrived at Discovery Cove for our day they gave us a $90 refund as they had reduced the price since we had booked:j . They said they had also passed this reduction onto ticket agents but didn't know if they were passing onto customers. If you've booked worth checking. Fab day. All food, drink, snacks, ice-cream, wet suits, towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner is included in the price. We really enjoyed.
New ride at Epcot Soaring is great. Go on early in the day as the queues were long in the afternoon.
Didn't really enjoy Kennedy space centre. Longish drive and a blokey thing.
First time we had booked all the components ourself as opposed to a package. Worked out really well.
Thanks all for help and support.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

For a 2 week trip the 14 day ultimate probably gives the best value / flexibility. You can get them for around £155 each for adults.0 -
I used https://www.attractionticketsdirect.co.uk last year who were very good, previously I booked through a website in Florida and had the tickets delivered to the villa that I was staying in but they couldn't do the same sort of deal. A colleague in the US who'se son works for Disney said that UK visitors can get the best deals on tickets here, they don't seem to have the same sort of deals in the US now0

i have had a look around and think the cheapest tickets i can find so far are £107 for th 4 park flexi and £173 for the 14 day ultimate disney
Am I right in thinking that if i get the 14 day ultimate disney pass i can use the disney monorail to get to and from all parks? does anyone know if this is avaiable on all tickets of just that one ( as we aren't hiring a car we need an option to get to all parks)
cheers0 -

You can use the Disney transportation with any ticket, even a 1 day ticket. They never check them anyway.
Check https://www.disneyworld.co.uk for the 14 day ultimate, they were givivng away a free snowglobe recently.0 -
attractionticketsdirect are good but they are no longer the cheapest, try http://www.themeparktix.co.uk/index.html £168 14 day ultimates.0

Bit of a hike from last year, I paid £153 with a free burger at the Hard Rock Cafe thrown in.
Have a look at this one, another one at £168

Another option worth considering is an Annual Pass these cost around £300.
With them you get
Unlimited entry for a year ideal if you are going in August this year and July next year.
Free Parking at the parks (Saves $10 a day)
10% off at a lot of shops
& Lots of other little bonuses.
The main benifit though is the hotel discounts you can get we should be able to get at least $20 a night off this August / September.
Not everybody in your party needs an Annual Pass, you can buy one and get 14 day ultimates for everyone else. You still get all the discounts.0
