The only thing that we were not prepared for was the $9 per day parking charge at Disney.
Yeah that's shocking! We must have spent at least £25 just on parking!0 -
Hello there,
I have managed to get a price for a 2 week holiday to Florida, for the following price. What I want to know, is can I get the price down anymore! And thats where you experts at saving money come in!
Depart London Gatwick - Orlando on 11/11/2006, 14 nights, leaving Orlando on 25/11/2006.
4 adult fly drives and 1 child fly drive is costing £1553.00 includes car hire and all the nescessary insurances
2 weeks accomodation is costing £500 in Kissimee, this is being rented from a friends sister.
Total cost for 2 weeks in Florida, car hire, insurances and accomodation is £2053.00
Now I think that this is a great price for 2 weeks in Orlando, but having never been before, I wondered if the price could be beaten.
Can we get to Florida for any less, is my question?Nice Shoes & Expensive Designer Handbags, are my downfall!0 -
they look pretty good prices - I'm off in May and considered the charter flights and those with stop-offs, but the wife insisted on back seat tellies and direct flights for the trip...
only suggestion I can add is to look at your car hire. Sometimes the cheap flights are subsidised by the car hire. You could save a few pounds maybe by just booking the minimum week's car hire then arranging the second week on the open marketam I missing something ??0 -
Looks good to me.
Hope accomodation is good - price is cheap.
Have a great time !To infinity and beyond!0 -

We have stopped many times in hotels along International drive, we like the idea of everything being at hand, hotel, restaurants etc, Sea World one end, great shopping the other end, and linked by a good iRide bus service if you don’t want to drive.
We have some four years ago had a holiday along International drive , ok no car but used iRide & free Disney transport for £800 for two, room only, 14 Day's, with free transfers from the local airport, enjoy the SHOPPING, and have a great holiday. :grouphug: !!!!!!There are More Questions Than Answers!!!!!!

Dear Folks
We are going to Florida in November 2006, and I was wondering:
1. Are there VIP tickets in order to jump queues, as my wife has a long-term illness, and queueing is not good
2. How easy is it to take an electric scooter to USA (airport Etc...) or do I hire when I get there?
Regards
ANDREW0 -
the theme park passes can be bought at machines in the park or at the gates.
the scooters can be hired at the airport (well, at sanford you can!):santa2:0 -

Disney has a fastpass system for the main rides that is free (well for the moment anyway) - you just insert your normal admission ticket in the fastpass machines situated beside the ride you want to go on and are given a pass with a time slot to come back later.
Universal have a similar system but this is only operational at peak times, probably 'cos they would prefer you to purchase their express front of line pass. Cant remember how much this is off the top pf my head but you will find details on universals home page.
However if you are going in early November you will proably not encounter long queues as this is one of the quieter times though it does get busier as you get nearer Thanksgiving at the end of the month.

If you are flying with Britannia, try asking for an upgrade at check-in. Last time we went we did this and got upgraded to first class in a jumbo - it didn't cost very much and was well worth it;)You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
