Hi,
I am looking to take my 4 year old daughter on holiday to Florida in May - has anyone got any tips on cheap flights, car hire etc. Flights preferably leaving from Glasgow for 2/3 weeks.0 -
Do a search on this forum, there's been a few similar questions recently.
There is a good orlando forum to look at Here excellent link there for car hire, it was the cheapest I found for our holiday last year and great service too, cars are though either Alamo or Dollar.0 -
Becareful with car hire. We found the car hire we had booked before leaving at a cost of £230 for 14 days included NO INSURANCE and of course you have to have insurance. It ended up costing us about another £200, so be careful and check what is and isn't included. Silly me just assumed that they would have included this in the price they quoted on the website.

Airline Network was great for car hire (with Dollar) back in 2003. haven't been there since.0

Do not book on a USA website as it won't include insurance as standard.Robert0 -
As Robert says, the link above includes all relevent taxes plus the dollar car includes 2 drivers.0

If you are planning on going to the theme parks quite a lot then check out the parks' official sites. Annual passes were cheaper than 2 single day tickets when i went last year. Plus with the great exchange rate it can work out very cheap. Plus u have the bonus of not having to worry about it when you get there (this was for universal by the way)0

Thanks for your help folks. Travel agent is quoting £2100 for return flights 7 nights accomodation plus 7 nights car hire. I will look into a few of your suggestions.
Thanks again0 -

I have found lots of info from the Diz forums board and today went to look at thedibb.co.uk which is also very useful. Found there a page marked Secrets, which gives loads of useful information from where to find a trained squirrel to viewing 3d glasses to view the fireworks and spot the angels
I have printed the pages out for our Florida file.0
