I used http://www.florida-magic-tickets.co.uk/ last year and have bought e-tickets twice from Seaworld and definately agree that they are safer. I printed them out twice and put them separately into different cases incase of lost luggage.

I had a slight problem last year with the Disney e-ticket as it wasn't on the Disney system, my fault as it turned out, however Disney make it their problem and once I faxed through the e-ticket they got it onto their system and I was issued with a "proper" ticket the next day. Meantime the Disney cast member gave us free entry on the first evening when they couldn't find it on the system and a free day pass for the next day so we could have an early start if we wanted one. We were also given CM's fast passes to make up for the slight upset.

With the Seaworld e-ticket you are supposed to take ID with you but I forgot and in fact wasn't asked for it. You can take your e-ticket to CS before you leave the park and you will be given a "proper" ticket, giving you free entry for the next 7 days.
  • Looks like it's the email tickets for me. Thanks.

As well as making duplicate copies of any e-tickets a good idea is to scan in all travel documents i.e passports, insurance, tickets, credit card and bank emergency contact numbers etc and email them to yourself.

Does anyone on this thread visit anywhere in Florida (its about the size of England BTW) other than the theme parks, and spend money anywhere else, other than with Uncle Walt ?

    Yes ~ me :D

I will be in Florida in September and won't be spending at Disney! Far too many other places to go and things to see.

Because DS is 10 we will be spending a couple of days, and I mean only a couple with the mouse. Universal much better for kids his age, but only my opinion.

In the past stayed at Key West and will definately go back. Loved it there, never used the car, walked about everywhere.
Have also stayed in Naples on the Gulf coast, great beach. Just stood at the end of the pier and watched the dolphins.

Went to Flamingo in the Everglades. Got eaten alive by mossies, and some some alligateors up close, a bit to close for my liking in fact. We hired a tiny boat and went out ecploring and despite the fact that there are signs that say stay at least 15ft from the alligators I discovered that the stufpid animals can't read!

Favourite joke ever - What is the difference between Bing Crosby and Walt Disney?

    Bing sings and Walt disnae.

Not got the plans sorted yet  although we will be in Orlando for a few days and then on to the coast. I'd like to go further down towards the Everglades. We have a car for the 2 weeks so we can do a bit of a road trip :)

We saw an alligator in the lake that our villa was overlooking last year in South Carolina ~ I find them totally fascinating! I did hold a baby alligator a few years back on a tour near New Orleans, they are all muscle!

Fort Lauderdale is lovely too, great beach although the hotel we stayed in has sadly closed. We used to get our rooms through an Exit guide but that seems to have vanished as well I think, maybe someone can put me right on that. It was great full of coupons for everything and you could donwload them too.
A sad loss if it really has gone.

If anyones tempted, the Gulf Coast is a great place to holiday (& Busch Gardens is fun to) and touring down the Coast via Cape Coral & Naples is a real treat !
