Hello we're off to Orlando next week and would like to treat my daughter to a character breakfast at either Disney of Universal would love some feedback about which is the best. This is my 15th time of going there and her 3rd but she is 4 now and we feel old enough to enjoy the experience doesn't have to be a princess one as she isn't a mega PINK girl.
    many thanks in advance.

Just been reading on the Disboards that they are opening a new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Cinderella's Castle in MK, the current one is at Down Town Disney.

    http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1438289

I read about it last year and to be honest, while I think the kids will love it, they do end up looking a little bit like the American kids do on these pagent type programmes.

    :hello: everyone

I hope you can advise me as I am conscious I haven't much time left to organize my holiday as we going in early July.

I booked the Disney all Star Movies but I now feel that it is more suitable for younger children. It will be myself, my husband and my 16 year old son. Is it much dearer and do you recommend it as we have decided to go for a moderate Hotel

It will be our first time in WDW and I feel there so much I need to know. I am looking forward to it but it really for my son as he has been for the last couple of years.

I booked with a Travel Agent; so do think they will give me good price to opt for an upgrade to a better hotel??

Many thanks in advance for your help.

    Fiona

PS. As this was a last minute decision to go to Orlando I am trying to read the boards to gain some much needed advice and information.

    Hi all

I've just about read throug this entire thread and would like to check on some prices just to see if there is any additional info I need..

Just booked flights out to sanford 29/11/07-13/12/07 cost £541 for 2 adults inc car hire (didn't take insurance and will not be taking car..) Is this a good deal for off season flights? They said no charge for not using car so all good :)

Found a villa at clear creek nr disney for £259 per week, good area? 3 bed pool only two of us so big enough..

Also Thinking of argus for car hire through quidco £200 for 2 weeks fully insured, economy car or should i upgrade or leave til i get there and hope they upgrade for free?

Should I just get disney all park tickets for 2 weeks will this be enough or should i go for the 5 day orlando parks as well (wet n wild etc..) or buy these individually as and when required.

It all adds up! I reckon ball park figure £1200-£1300 per adult inc all the other things driving to airport and parking (parks also $10 day) etc.. buying disney tat from walmart etc.. :)

    Flight £541
Villa £518 plus £25 deposit (umming and arring over heated pool is this necessary?)
    Car hire £200
    Disney £150 each so £300
    Petrol £50
    Food £300
    Parking £50

Other than this I believe ponderosa is cheap for food and some others do $5 dinner buffets (not sure whoich ones?)

Petrol about half price how many tanks?

Sorry about scatty post thinking out loud.. Just wondered if anything I've missed..

    Thanks for any advice :)

If you have a look at this map Clear Creek is community No28.

Sizzler and Golden Corral are cheap buffet restaurants also.

Depends what you want to do. How many days do you want to go to Disney Parks? Do you want to spend time at water parks or are you expecting to do more rides than playing in the water? Have you considered Universal and Seaworld?

No need to apologise going to Ordlando/disney/universal et al, is a huge undertaking. Lots of fun but a serious amount of planning required to make sure you enjoy it. Which I hope you will.
We all evolve - get on with it

First of all I'd recommend you read the https://www.disboards.com and apart from the UK Planning Board you'll find a board with threads about all the Disney resorts with everyone's likes and dislikes. TBH to a certain extent I think the value resorts are good for teens as there are lots of them there and your son should meet up happily with them at the pool area. We stayed at Pop Century two years ago and there were loads of teens by the pool area and the games room and they quickly made friends.

The value resorts rooms are obviously more basic but then as its your first visit you will be out and about all the time and not spending much time in your room.

Thanks a lot Edinburghlass for your advice. I am now reading the website you named and I have a lot of information to take in.

As its our first time in Disney it is good to hear all bout it before we go. I am still undecided as to whether we should upgrade to a moderate hotel or not. I know it will cost a lot more though..

    Many thanks again.

    I have stayed in both value mod and delux. To be honest there is not a lot of difference between a mod and a value. The diffierences are;

Mod has a little more room (the room is about 2 feet longer, so it is not really useful room)
Mods have 2 sinks and values have 1

There is a coffee maker and a fridge in a mod but not in a value (If you need a fridge for medical reasons it is free at a value)

The values do not have a table service restruant, but they have food courts that have a better choice than the mods.

The mods have a counter service and a table service resturant, counter service is not as varied.

Mods have a slide at the pool, values do not.

No different in temrs of park entry or transport.

If you want to look at pictures of the hotels goto https://www.allearsnet.com where you can find pictures and reviews of hotels under accomdation. There are also menu detials there for the resturants.

The differences are small, and to be honest we did not feel they were worth it, and tend to either do a value or a delux.
