I have won a bid and been offered a bungalow, 2 bed new build, seen them already at the weekend, but i just need to say yes or no on the official viewing.
I can't believe it, my emotions are all over the place today.
Finally i can have freedom.
panic time i need to pack/declutter..0 -

Well done, how long have you been waiting?

Our kids have a playroom with a lock on it. A bolt high up that they can't reach. When we need to enforce it, we allow to them play with toys on a one-at-a-time basis. They bring a toy to the lounge to play and if they want a new one out, they have to put the other one away.
In theory, it's great... in practice, it kind of works... depends whether we remember to lock the door!

Aw. I have issues with my legs, not bad enough for mobility DLA though, I would probably get it, but it would not be right to push for it. Four flights of stairs carrying children is not fun on a day where they ache, makes you feel trapped, so whilst not the same, I have an understanding.
You must be thrilled :j
Could you not declutter completely one room? Or start on paperwork now?
Slowly, slowly catchy monkey. The only unpack what is needed the other end?
Be gentle with yourself if you have mobility issues
Oh you must be bouncing :T0 -

Hi all,
Done some massive decluttering: Got rid of a ukelele, guitar, DVD rack, set of scales, a CD, top, hoodie, t shirt and other stuff; 4 large bags of rubbish and a box of rubbish in addition to 1 broken box lid.0 -

Great news about the bungalow, Muppette. Don't overdo it with the decluttering though. If you need to, get your children to help pack everything and slowly declutter as you unpack. Time to start collecting cardboard boxes!
Flickering Ember, well done on the decluttering. I'm still ploughing my way though. My dining table is cleared (it was a bigger job than it sounds
) and I've decluttered a couple of worktops as well. Today, my daughter is going to tackle the very large pile of clean washing that resides on the kitchen table - she's going to sort it and take it all upstairs. She just doesn't know it yet :rotfl:
Once that is done, decluttering the rest of the kitchen table should only take ten minutes, but it will be another job done.
I'll have no egg boxes after tomorrow. I know that sounds a bit odd - I have a pile of egg boxes on top of the dryer ATM. I'm a Brownie and Rainbow Guider, so I collect all sorts of things. We're going to use the egg boxes to plant seeds with the Rainbows tomorrow. Last week, we used up a stash of Ovaltine tubs (collected for me by my friend's mum over a period of eighteen months). The Brownies decorated them to make penpots.
I've got lots of small cardboard tubs with lids (they held round teabags). they're a bit like Pringles tubes, but about a third of the size. Any ideas gratefully received! I know I could just use them for storing things in for Brownies/Rainbows, but I'd really like to use them for a craft. The only thing I can think of is a money box (and I've only just thought of that while I have been typing), so maybe that's what we'll do. Still happy to hear other ideas though!0 -
More ruthless decluttering on the way today....0
