yep! When I first got a delivery from Avon and wasn't at home to receive it, he delivered it to a rep 2 streets away from me. I had to carry the boxes from her house to mine!
And the courier has also asked me to take a box for another Rep as she wasn't at home and has no safe address, neighbours weren't in, etc.
They tell the Rep whose house they are dropping the boxes off at and the courier depot company, so if the rep decides to acquire your stock... it won't work.0 -
343 is definitely a lot! I was given 197 and my ASM told me it was too much and took some off me. I have some more brochures to take out tomorrow, and some to collect tomorrow evening. All together I will have made 8 trips to cover 2 streets. Hopefully as I get used to it and get more brochures I'll be able to cut it down.Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0

Have finally finished doing all my returns (had one customer, who also wanted a w/e bag in time for easter - my delivery's not due until after, so that meant an additional order too.....) and paid my bill. As 'luck' would have it, doing the additional order meant some of my returns were collected pdq - the driver actually queried why I was sending 4 boxes back! (Do they have a vested interest?) When I mentioned the party that hadn't gone well, he commented something along the lines of "Hmm... you and everyone else..." C'est la vie!
Sorry your ladies night was a wash out for you
If you are in Marsden (wondering because of name) we may have the same delivery driver and he has commented to me before about reps getting 2 boxes and sending 2 back! I was only sending back one thing lol!
On another note has anyone had the hydraFX moisturiser back because it smells awful? I got it for DH and it smells so bad he won't use it!K xx

I got lucky on the teddy. Ive ordered two and sold one to my customer for £7.00.
Have also had requests for Night Musk. I got one yesterday morning from the states and squirted a bit on me when I gave it to my customer. Went to the party and they went nuts. Ive been asked to source another 6 bottles!!
Ordered 4 last night and just ordered another four. All from States. Prices have varied a bit from £14 - £17 each delivered.
Customers have agreed to pay £20 per bottle, flat rate, so that I make a little something for my effort.
Having tried it, I will be keeping one for myself. So there we are, I should have a spare one. If anyone wants it for cost. (+p+p)
Order day today and all my reps have done well. Two called me on monday and told me because of the bad weather, they couldnt be bothered to go out. I thanked them for letting me know and told them ill be round to pick up their books.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
Hi So I took the plunge and signed up to become a Rep tonight.
Am a little worried its all going to be a waste of time but have promised myself I'll give it 3 months and see how it goes.
A few questons
I work full time and unfortunately where my house is there is nowhere secure to leave my deliveries:( How do others get round this? My SL said she would see if its possible to deliver them to another Rep in my village but I'm worried she was jsut saying that to get me to sign up.
Also when you deliver your items to your customers what do you deliver them in?
Very worried this could be a lot of effort (on top of a full time job) for very little back. Also I seem to have been given a very large area 343 homes but I'm guessing I can just start with a few streets and build my way up
You can contact your Sales Leader or ASM and ask them to register your work address as a permanent delivery address. (this can be just as awkward when you have big deliveries):T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -

You are an inspiration!
I quickly noticed that I had an Avon Demon customer. Loves it, Loves it, Loves it.
I suggested that she host and Avon party in her house and make some hostess commission to spend on herself.
a couple of weeks later, she caught me on the street and said 'when youre done, come over, want that party, ive invited everyone'
I was a bit concerned that they were my exsisting customers and i would lose out financially, but as it turned out. It went better than i could have imagined.
I bought some demo products from HT (all anew), raffle tickets, raffle prize (anew beauty bonus from ht 8 cost £7) took along a mirror and biros.
I gave her 10 brochures, some party invitations, a whole pack of order forms for those who couldnt come. She threatened me with 50 guests:eek::eek::eek:
I borrowed some other Avon products from one of my reps and my hostess brought down some of her own items.
I just turned up with some C7's, showered, make up on and some Night Musk i got from the states squirted up my arm.
Customers were just happy to meet me, ask questions about the products, try the demos and samples id brought.
I found that they spent much more than usual and egged each other on. 'oh you must have this and this and this'
They did my job for me. :T:T:T:T:T
I took 21 orders in total, gave hostess commission of £44 and I have agreed that the payments have to go to the hostess by 6/4 and I will deliver all bagged up orders to her house for collection or delivery by her.
no nibbles, no mess to clean up, no half cut customers to throw out. Dead easy delivery.
Watch your customers, my hostess whas a real high spend lady and i have another party booking for 20/4 with the same gang. Feedback has been great, they had a great time, looking forward to next one in April.
It was really nice and i thoroughly enjoyed myself, they fed and watered me too.

We buy Avon delivery bags to take our orders out. they are not expensive. |In your welcome pack there is a Hello Tomorrow magazine, towards the back is the stationary section. You can select from the different ones they sell. Dont bother with mini.
Med and Large paper bags, maybe 10-20 med plastic bags (If they order a lot or if its heavy items, shower gels, shampoos etc)
They do a Representative Calling Card which does come in handy when you are trying to get your book back or arrange a delivery. and brochure bags so your books dont get ruined in the rain.
Freezer bags work too, especially on your first hit.
I do think that 343 homes is an awful lot, i do more, but i only do Avon. How many books did she give you? 20 or 40? to do 343 houses, you are likely to need 70-80.
Find a way that works for you and just take your time to begin with. You get quicker with practice. But im sure that you will love it, its a great way to get to know the people who live around you and make some really fantastic friends.:D:D:D

I have back ordered clearance items from HT. Just use the drop down box in placing an order like you would anyway.
Ive not had a problem doing this.
I tried doing this on my order I placed this week. 5 x Footworks AHA from previous clearance. Came up at £1 each when I checked subtotal so well pleased. Printed invoice off tonight and the price has changed to £1.50 each.
You will need to double check invoices - mine are going back! Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Can see the reasoning from the courier's point of view but am not in the same 'team' as the rest of the agents in my town and got to say I don't think I'd like my orders being left with another rep. Luckily, no need as I have quoted a 'safe place'.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thanks, GK, no matter..... definitely not important in the scheme of things. We won't have the same delivery driver (I used to live in Marsden but am in Devon now) - don't usually have much to send back but this time he delivered 3 boxes + a bag (additional order) and took back 4 boxes so guess it did look a bit odd. Only 2 to go back now when my main order arrives so won't look so 'bad'. Have paid what I owe but fully expect to get an email re. the 'balance' supposedly showing as owing before they release my next order. Check my invoices with a fine tooth comb now (didn't bother initially - just assumed they were correct..... wrong! )
Sorry, can't help re. the moisturiser; wonder if it's 'off'?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
