I also created a new email address for avon i.e. avon(name)@live.co.uk Keeps Avon separate from my personal emails and helps make sure I don't miss anything.
Rightly or wrongly, I put my home tel. no. on rather than my mobile - I get the impression that people prefer to ring a landline (cheaper) rather than a mobie.
I did get the free stamp from Vistaprint initially but the typeface is quite small so I got one of those you can make up yourself (got mine for £2.99 from Lidl)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

What does this mean to us? (apart from dont ring the bell lol)
I used to avoid them but now ignore the notices being that I've had both Betterware and Avon customers with such stickers on their doors. Have asked a few such householders why they have the stickers when they've actually ordered from me and their replies tend to be along the lines of they don't want double-glazing salesmen, etc. calling. Convince yourself that you are dropping a catalogue in and/or giving them the opportunity to have a catalogue to look at if they wish, which you will be picking up in a few days ergo you are not a 'salesman' but a 'merchandiser'Pretty sure one of the many Avon brochures to reps covers this aspect - a specific point being that we should never supply goods the same day as getting the order.

Hi YM - I've just done the template for a voucher which fits nicely inside a cheap notecard to make it look a bit special, although you could use it on its own. If you'd like a copy of it, then just PM me your email addy (also applies to anyone else who wants it
)
Thanks Elliebee. It looks great. Have saved it for future campaigns.C5 £202; C6£541 :j; C7 £502; C8 £379; C9 £379

Very frustrating when you get back only to find that if they'd rung my mobie I could've dropped the order off whilst out! BTW you can 'text' a BT landline - messages are a bit strange at times but at least it IS possible. :cool:C5 £202

Only regular f+F i have is my mum. But i do have boyfriends mum, sis and neighbour and 4 ladies at the local newsagent as F+F who get a book every camp too but they only order every so often.
I have a MASSIVE territory though, 14 roads in total now i think it is. Ive got 105 "customers" who get the new book every campaign (customers are people who have placed an order at some point with me even if not for few months or whatever) and then i recanvass as much as i can each campaign. Last campaign was my best camp EVER with sales of £980 and 52 orders. Sales are lower this camp but ive got 54 orders which is most ive ever had. (dreading delivery day! lol)
I do this as my main job though now so spend 16-20 hours a week and it works out i get about £5 an hour roughly (if im lucky)! Which doesnt sound much but im a single mum to a 22 month old and it means i can take my daughter with me or do stuff when shes in bed most of the time... so it works out great!
I have only been an avon rep for 2 camps and now week to go on 3rd. Made SL in second camp, Got 8 signed up already.
I do Avon as my job. I have registered as self employed and as I have children, and working well over 16 hours a week, I am still entitled to claim WFTC which i get.
I will be calling them this week to advise that am now SL and doing over 30 hours a week as you get an extra payment for this.
Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks ladies... at the moment I've just written my first name and mobile phone number. When you say email address is that an Avon email address or your own one ie hotmail, yahoo etc?
Will look into getting a stamp from vista print though, that sounds like a good idea.

cattyfingers wrote: »hi all ive just signed up to be avon rep got my SL coming round tommorow to drop of brochures and im guessing discuss routes etc. Im very excited about it but im a little confused about how you can order from two campaigns at once could anyone explain it to me?
When you put your orders in online, at the left hand side of the page there is a drop down box with the campaign number in it that you are working from.
To back order, click on the drop down box and you will see the previous camp number. Select it and put in your item code. Do this for each item you need to back order. Once youve done it a few times and got used to checking the brochures you will see how this works.
Some reps deliberately split their patch in two and reuse their brochures this way. half on current camp, half on prev.
I choose not to do this as I cover a small village where we all know each other. But also because i tend to lose a lot of brochures over the 3 weeks
Good luck with it and perservere. Avon sells all year round and people love to see you.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
