well done aureol!!! Made up for you hun! :)

Well my avon week is POO!! Spent 12 hours on my delivery yesterday! Oh yes indeedy! Delivery came 9am spent till 4pm sorting it all out etc.. then off out at 5pm delivering.. big drama as place was swarming with police as one my customers had just been broken into.. so EVERYONE wanted to stop me and talk about it.. then had to get a lift to my random customer who is about 3 miles away but only orders occassionally.. then home to do more... and finally got in at gone 9pm.. and then spent 2 hours sorting my stuff out for tonights deliveries.

Im soooooooo sick of sight of avon at min! And still got 1/2 my deliveries to do over tonight/tomorrow evenings.... and already had customer ring me asking me to deliver to her workplace this evening which is 30 min walk away and im guessing a pub... so she can get lost to be honest as i'll have my little girl with me... shes gonna have to wait till sunday. (and theres another special trip to make... urgh!)

I'll be so glad when this week is over..... but then again.. i then have to get my books out to regs and start recanvassing over the weekend!

Oh and i emailed my ASM to just check whether one my new roads was south**** or the other road stan**** nearby as her handwriting is terrible and i could only see the s and t and **** part... and she emailed me back yesterday to say it was south**** but stan**** was free too so shes allocated that to me aswell!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats 15 roads now (including one major main road and 3 housing estates!!) Im not bloomin superwoman!!!! LOL Funny really everyone I see on here and other forums seems to want more territory and cant get and here i am not even asking for it and being allocated it!!! LOL

LOL Johanne, going to move to where you are! Mine refuses to give me more territory, she thinks I should just recruit more reps. Yep! When they put orders in, when they aren't going on maternity leave, going home to Italy, not running their own business and hubby doesn't want them concentrating on Avon!

so that leaves one who isn't getting many orders, and the other who refuses to answer my question as to whether or not she is canvassing her territory. If she is not then I will go and look for a rep there!

thanks for the congrats by the way!

Adding to the earlier life story i wuld like to say how UNSUPPORTIVE some people are. Im fed up of friends and family being so pants when it comes to avon.

I dont drive, my mum does, she has every monday off but when i ask her to have my son and drop me somewhere so i can prospect its a no no. However its fine for her to pop over when she wants to see him!

Other half was supposed to take me out so we could door knock a few weeks ago but instead threw a fit when i said it would be easier to drop me there as if i found anyone i would want to sign them there and then instead of paying to go back another day. He said he would wait in the car, i said no as my son would have to wait in the car and thats not fair. so didnt go in the end.

As soon as i started SL-ing i gave my mum and sister flyers to hand out at work 'yeah course i will' two weeks later 'oh i forgot!' !!!!

Mum works at a doctors, she has friends with daughters who have had babies and arent doing anything, she could have at least mentioned it!

My sister works in a school, the teachers have kids, there is a 6th form, she goes to the gym, she goes to classes in the week.....

Visited them last week and the whole wad of flyers was still sitting on the side!!! only 2 months later! Im so annoyed!!

Other half works from 10am-10pm but sometimes 1pm-11pm, ill ask at the weekend what hes working so i can arrange to do something in the mornings...then on the night before he changes his hours grrrrr!

Yes its 'only avon' but i wouldnt sabbotage their jobs! You would think they would prefer me to make a go of this than sitting at home doing sod all! If its important enough to have to declare it to the tax office why is it not important enough for them to take it seriously???

This is why i need to make money, get insured on the OHs car...and then be more independent enough to **** off and do it myself!

    RANT OVER....promise

Rant away sophisoph! I understand how you feel.

My OH has been really unsupportive and this week says I never told him I was applying for that part time job!

I need the part time job as Taxcredits are just messing my money around and at the moment avon just isn't consistent and paying enough.

Hopefully once I know salary and how much I will have left after childcare, etc, which I know tax credits will barely help with now, I am hoping Avon will make up for the rest of the money I need for bills.

DH can't help as he pays the rent, and with not getting paid every week, he is barely managing.

Although he is going to have to pay council tax as I can't afford to.

Anyway hoping that with weather getting nice, more people will be interested in taking up avon.

However, Avon is just as much a business to you as it is to your family and friends going to work. People just don't see Avon as a business though, and DH was until you are making money like Gail and Debbie.... it's not making you any.

But if we were running a shop! then it would be seen as a real business and if it wasn't making money that would be different.

I like the idea that you can have a stand at the market, and I know you said you don't want to sell Avon but sometimes that is the best way to attract people to sign up as reps. If you sell some popular lines, people might be more inclined to buy and sign up.

However, I think you are doing brilliantly with your business head.

Have you thought about a twitter account? That's how a new customer found me.

Thanks SunnyD! Twitter is a social networking site like facebook, except you really only do status updates! But we don't! we managed to have conversations on it, you learn how to shorten what you are saying into few words but still readable!

    https://www.twitter.com

It is very good for networking, there is a current campaign on there by a lady called @bubbleybex to #kickcancer and at one point she had #kickcancer trending, which is quite a feat!

I put Avonxxxxx as my user id, and in my profile I have put the areas I am looking for reps in and you can see my email, but have now amended to include my phone number.

Then you network like mad! You find other Avon reps or Salesleaders on there by typing in the search criteria Avon, and then you follow them, hope they follow you back. You do regular tweets as you never know who is following you, that might retweet you. Retweeting is when someone repeats what you are saying with your user id.

Then advertise like hell! It is on my facebook page that I am on twitter, I am going to get new business cards made, when I get more followers am going to run a competition to win an avon product and this will mean more people will follow.

It doesn't matter if people all over the country follow you as it just takes one in Scotland to have a relative, friend living in your part of the world... who is looking for another job, part time, etc....

Also there are a lot of SAHM and networking groups on there like mumpreneur.com (sp) and you follow them, get them following you, they encourage you to post ads on their website, facebook, etc.

My customer found me by googling Avon and the area!!! And I came up! See the power of google!

Thanks A yes i have a personal twitter account but i never use it, may try and evolve it into an avon account instead. What is SAHM?

Well, good news, met with my first avon MAN today -aside from my OH of course. Hes lovely, went through the WDYK and he had 5 girls, 3 of which would 'definately do avon' and 2 who probably would, all spread out around our city!! whoop whoop. It was the first appointment i had done with my AM watching but it went really well.
I said to the rep if he wanted to be a sales leader there are his 5 members potentially (hes done sales before etc) he said he could get the girls together so we could sign them all up in one go!!! whoop whoop. a new rep, potential sales leader with complete team or if not then potentially 5 new reps for my team all in one hour! lol meeting again next friday so time will tell.

    Fingers crossed xx
