Well I really like the ones from Avon and they are cheaper than in the shops. They are 80p I think for 50 and they have Avon printed on them. HTH x

Elliebee posted the product number in an earlier thread but its 76935.

They do look smarter than sandwich bags but you have to fold the top of the order form over to get them to fit in. Give them a go - at 80p for 50 they are cheaper than resealable bags from the supermarket.

Thanks Elliebee - yes I think that's probably what would happen, all the free gift would be used up by demonstrating so therefore nothing to send back! Thanks for your help x

I checked with Avon before I ordered the Money Maker 10 pack of lotus. As long as you 'sell' one lotus shield, the free gift is yours to keep. Even if you send 9 back.

I tend to leave my bags open at the top (have already torn one trying to open it). Customers tend to leave them closed outside their houses (suits me as it keeps it all dry).

Welcome to all the new Avon ladies :hello:

That's fab - worth ordering 10 and just keeping one for myself even if I don't sell any more. Brilliant, am v. pleased x :T

    Hey all,

Just had my first meeting with my SL and have now officially joined the ranks :T Am really looking forward to getting started. Quick question though, can anyone give suggestions of the best type of sandwich bags (preferably sealable) to get and where the cheapest place to get them from is (sorry if this question has been asked before, this thread is huge !!!) Thanks in advance and I look forward to conversations with you all in the very near future
Avon bags really are the cheapest, but obviously until you receive your first campaign's order, you'll have to buy some in the shop in the meantime! I used 99p store ones, which were nothing special but got the job done - 25 bags for 99p, not a great value. If you don't have time to wait, then these or supermarket ones will do for your first campaign.

Does anyone else get calls from Avon's 0845 number at all hours of the day? They hang up every time you answer, then ring again 2 minutes later

It's a premium rate number too, so I'm certainly not calling them back!

I'm more than a little annoyed, and I'd rather quit Avon altogether if they keep it up.

They used to ring me (usually just as I'd got the diner on the table :p), but I haven't had them hanging up and ringing back. They probably only want to sell you special offers anyway, so there's definitely no point in ringing at your own expense.

You can ask them to take you off their list of people to ring, and in my experience that works fine. I've not heard from them since I did that except with a specific account query, which is fair enough.

Right, Sales leader bloke has sent me a snotty email and copied in my ASM saying i was out of order etc... not even going into on here cos it made me cry and i well up just even thinking about it.. has included ONE order from a road that isnt even in my territory to "prove" he wasnt after orders etc.. says my note i handed out made avon look unproffessinoal etc... blah blah.... ASM emailed me seperately saying shes allocated him territory away from me to canvass and hopes its all sorted! :(:(:(

Im livid.... between that and everything else in the past few weeks i actually AM considering throwing in the towel!! AVONs took over my life and im sick of it!! Havent even put my regulars books out yet and i usually do them on a saturday.

Im totally fed up of being treated like something people have stood in cos im "just" the avon girl... so they assume i have no life, no common sense and no knowledge! I have customers speak to me like im thick and patronise me , asm only bothers if i contact HER with a problem and the odd group email telling us all who is in the top 20.... ive got 5 orders sat at home for people who wont have the money till next campaign.... i still have that reps £150 worth of orders too.... cos afterall Jo wont care cos she never says no to anyone! Sick of it all.

Wish i could take a few weeks off and see how i feel then.. but of course i cant cos if i dont work i cant pay my bills. No holiday pay here or anyone to pick up the slack.

Sorry guys for being so negative but avon has had me in tears too many times lately and i really wonder why i bother... If i worked in a normal job least i could leave it at work when it stressed me out!

    Hi Myrtle

They aren't hanging up on you. What they are using is a speed dialer and it is common in many call centres! I know I worked in one that used it!

Basically, they have a computer program that calls 100 numbers or even more  in one go, and then if someone picks up the phone, if an agent is available to take the call it routes to them. If no one is available, the program automatically cuts you off..... but then it keeps you on the program as a number to call as you have not been connected to an agent!

Sooooooooo send an email to avon through the website asking them to remove your number from this particular contact centre, saying you do not wish to receive marketing calls.

    font of useless knowledge.....:rotfl:

    HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSSSSSS

can I say something? I am working 3 days a week, in a job where i get paid a lousy £7.50 an hour but they expect me to work like I am on a salary of £25,000.

This morning one of the Directors was so rude to my colleague, I was ready to walk out! He came back in the afternoon when I wasn't in office and apologised to her, just as well!

I am really stressed with the job, am expected to do the work of 3 women and not get paid for it AND after have paid childminder I have the princely sum of £100 to pay all my bills with!

And when I get home I just worry about everything!

Need to get little man some dinner, but will try to PM you later. :) xxx
