So....I put out 38 books on friday afternoon clearly saying on an attached note that I would be collecting them sunday evening....well after calling at all the houses, I got 13 back including 6 orders (yipee) i then popped a note through early today saying Sorry I missed you & would be picking them up this evening I eventually got 2 more orders, 1 lady still looking at the book with her mum and 13 more books back...so im still 10 books down!

I Put the ones I got yesterday out last night and the ones I got back this eveing out tonight....these are for collection wednesday evening.....however at this rate of loss I will have no books left. I have 170 houses to do and will have done 70 by wednesday night....and assuming I can get all my books back (yeah right!) they will be going back out wednesday night and by friday night collection I will have got 100 done...if I keep loosing books tho its going to be a total nightmare! I know I can keep people on the old books etc but wanted to keep it as straight as possible for the first 2 campaigns

Do you guys have the same sort of loss on new districts or when your re canvassing?

I am worried about how many books to order for the campaign after next?

    Hi all :D

I've decided to give up my territory after C11 (will give my best ladies a last chance to order/stock up) ... unfortunately the bad customers outweigh the good ones and the added stress of going back to houses over and over on top of a full time job is taking it's toll on my stress levels!!

I'll still be doing Friends, Family, Work Colleagues etc so will still be putting an order in every month just won't be "working the streets" anymore :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

P.S I ordered 10 Fergie money makers and sold NONE :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I am worried about how many books to order for the campaign after next?

    Hello Mrs Hornsey

Initially, yes it was the same for me too. It took until my 4th campaign to get my customers trained. Mostly they leave the books out for me now. However, I did up my books order to 70 once I realised how bad it was. Now I get my round done in a week flat.

I usually end up with 50 odd books left. I either pass them on to reps who split their territory into two camps so it keeps their costs down and then I get them back again to canvass as a Sales Leader using dead book drops.

The books can work out pricey in the begining. But stick at it, it does come good and does get easier with practice.

Dont feel bad if you cant cover all of your territory in your first campaign. Were you signed up by a Sales Leader or by an Avon Sales Manager? Which ever one it was, ask them if you can buy some extra books at the rate of 50p per pack of 5 which is the going rate (give or take a few pennies) to get your streets done quicker. It is in their interest that you do well as the Sales Leader will earn a higher rate of commission against your higher sales and the Avon Sales Manager will get brownie points for higher average sales.

Your first order usually has a credit limit of £200 (which is at your invoice to you) but some new reps get a higher one. (mine was £400, my OH had £300 and a new rep I signed last week has been set at £250). If you go massively over your credit limit, Avon usually ask you to pay a deposit against your order.

:j:j:jBy the way, you are doing fantastically well.:j:j:j If you would like a template to print off your forms, drop me a line at lucyclare73@hotmail.co.uk and I can forward one on to you.

Do keep us posted on your success.:T:T:T:T:T

Hey, collected all my brochures in from my street last night and think i only have three houses that are interested in looking but did get two orders so suppose out of three so far that isnt bad. My ASM is coming tonight so asking her about gets lots more territory!

Does anybody have a standard letter type thing they use when stuffing brochures, just one saying my name is.... ill be collecting on ..... please tick here if you already get avon elsewhere or dont want anything now but might next time. I tried with the knocking on doors but im really not the type of person that handles things like that easily and i think if all they have to do is tick a box i might get more of a proper answer.

    Thanks for your help!
