I've been continually reading this thread, but I've lost my mojo already as far as Avon is concerned :(. I think all the problems I had at the beginning with not getting an area without a rep, then the ASM not returning calls or emails, contacting Avon direct and getting nowhere have all taken their toll.

I haven't put any books out for C11 yet, despite C10 finishing last Tuesday, so I'm thinking of just doing F&F, and a couple of the customers who were really interested. But I had already ordered C12 with my C10 order, does anyone know if I can send them back?
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

Everybody knows the Avon brand-a brochure is not needed-it is confusing to some people.
I had never seen an Avon brochure before I considered becoming a rep. I was surprised at the range of products in it. Having just started as SL I have found quite a few people who have seen Avon brochures in the past and many of them have been surprised by some of the stuff that is now included. So I wouldn't say that a brochure isn't needed.
I haven't yet done any expired brochure drops so no idea how effective they are as a means of recruiting. However I have kept all my old books but plan to get details of vacant territory from ASMs rather than dropping them on an existing rep's patch.

    Hello All

Sorry, had a horrendously busy week, and just read all the latests posts since my last visit.

Belated Happy Birthday, hope the zoo was good fun

Quite frankly, I hope his bits, shivel up and drop off!!!!!!
I do dead brochure drops, but I would never EVER put an order form in.
As SL we cans see areas not being covered by reps and I think this is part of the reason that the mis use clause came into effect, basically if we wanted to, we could canvass the areas without a rep, especially the 'HOT' areas and make a few quid.
Shame he's not in Wales, He would be swiftly dealt with by us. My ASM would clean her car with his face!

I hope that I've got the right lady..........

Happy to forward the template to you.

Dont you dare quit! Look how well you've done so far, without any local support. Anything you need, PM for my mobile number hun, WE will get you sorted, all of us on here are rooting for you. Believe you me, we all have shi**y days.

And as for everyone else, Hellllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooo

Done my delivery, got a last few orders to deliver, (if they are ever home!!!) Paid the bills in full (Yipeeeeeeeeeeee) Got all my C11's out in my village and now have to do my other two streets in neighbouring village. But thankfully, wonderful customer has said that she will pick up my books and orders for me on Wed, as I'll be going under the knife and off for 5 whole days (the sun will still rise in the morning, my mum told me), so far over £500 C11 which Im really really pleased with as C10 was ridiculously good, I didnt even expect to get this much this time.

I had my last party cancel on me last minute as the hostess managed to fall out with everyone two days before the party. Real bummer for me but hey hoh! At least they paid for the C10 orders in full :)

Signed 4 newbies last week, got one tonight :)
    Pospecting with new SL tuesday
Last minute book drops and chasing up tomorrow.
Should be back on my tippy toes before close of orders week wed.

So as Ill be confined to the sofa or bed for most of next week, I shall be replying to anyone who will talk to me :)
:T wealth is a state of mind :T

and there are people out there who have never heard of Avon and don't know how it works. Have spoken to quite a few who have asked me to explain it, etc.

Fiver, am going to PM you with some details my SL sent me, try this route. But if you still don't get anywhere and I will be very surprised, email Avon and tell them what you are doing and why, and ask if you can return a number of the C12 books as you won't need so many.

But first let me find the email and then will PM you.

Went to a Jazz afternoon today at one of the local Churches, I know the lady through Timebank, the Voluntary group. So was introduced to someone who said, oh you are the Avon lady too! And she was asking me about Skin So Soft as she had heard about its insect repellent properties, and wants to buy a bottle! So my reputation is going in front of me :D .

Good luck with your op, lucyclare - hope it all goes okay.

I have brochure pick-ups to do tomorrow and I feel rough. Had a stinking cold all weekend courtesy of DD. Hope my reasonably well trained customers have left them out - cant see anyone looking like this.

Been thinking about Lotus Shield (forgot about the training!) and I think I'll offer a couple of samples in a little pack as a purchasing incentive as I dont want to drop the brochure price - 50p sounds stingy and £1 leaves too little profit.

Anyone else having problems typing with the cursor shooting all over the place every few letters?

  • Hi,

I have been thinking about doing avon for a while but not sure how to get started. Is the tax thing easy to do yourself? I earn about £19k in my full time job and am worried that I will end up paying most of what I earn to the tax man, how has everyone else found it? x
