Hi aureol
I did tell her i wanted some but not very much to start with, so probably my own fault!!0 -
hello everyone wonder if anyone can help. ive been doing avon since last november to friends and family. i now would like to start doing territories. ive emailed my area sales manager to ask about this but heard nothing back. ive thought about just doing my own thing and putting through doors on my estate but do not want to step onto anyone elses territory if this is already a reps round (though i never get one through my door so think there cant be). or should i email avon or wait a while longer see if asm gets back in touch. your thoughts would be appreciated.0

No harm in emailing again just to make sure - if you mention you might just try wherever if you don't hear anything, that might do the trick!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

aww thanks guys.... it really upset me as i work so damn hard on this it LITERALLY is my bread and butter for me and my little girl as you know.. so every lost order/customer is a big blow.
I have spent the afternoon posting a note through EVERY door on the roads with a note explaining this person was NOT authorised by Avon to put the books through and apologising lots on avons behalf... also stated avon management have asked any orders be placed with me the OFFICIAL avon rep for this street....given them all my contact details and my business card and promised i'll be back next month with my own brochures! I also apologised to those who asked not to recieve brochures but he may have put them through.. assured them i would never do that and apologised again!
Spoke to one lady who dealt with him and apparently he was a rep a few years ago for that street and he was REALLY rude and obnoxious to her and even though she said the other day she didnt want a book so please dont put them through her door he said he will as he can put them wherever he wants and she'd just have to put up with it!!!:eek::eek: Had another couple of people tell me he was very rude and horrible to them too... !!!
i have messages confirming its officially my territory from my ASM and messages telling me to collect any orders i can find on monday morning. (i have a "boogie babes" class with my daughter though so not sure i can!) Feel a bit bad too taking his books! How silly is that as he is trying to steal MY customers! :rotfl:
I will however be playing hearts and minds with these streets for the next few months now... lots of reliable brochure drops, free gifts and samples.. and hopefully they wont think avon is as bad as they seem to think it is!:A
It has however meant i havent prepped my own regulars books so they will be a day late getting them!!:o:o:o
Oh well off to watch the match while i do prep them!! Trying to think of a good offer for them this time... tempted to offer a free bead burst shower gel with every order over £15... or 10% off all the ANEW so they only need to pay £18 to get the beauty bonus bags?? Hmm...... i dunno!0 -
If you get nowhere having complained to your ASM - PM me, I will try to find your divisional manager or you could complain to Sales Leadership.
Avon has a GREAT reputation, it's a shame when people try and ruin it. I think that stamping out the idiots makes the whole thing better and more fair for everyone.
I am a Sales Leader and I have stopped doing brochure expireds. I do not teach it to my team either. I have told my ASM and DSM that I fundamentally do not agree with them. If I want to look for representatives on a street, then I knock the doors or put flyers through asking. Only if I am given vacant territory, would I consider putting brochure expireds through the door, with the consent of the ASM.
I do appreciate that not all ASMs are great, but if they don't co-operate or help me, I don't recruit in their area. (what I mean is, if they don't steer me into a vacant area) Simple as that. As a Sales Leader, you are independent. However, you do have to play by the rules, and in this case with this bloke, it doesn't sound like he has played by the rules.
This makes so much sense! If only all SLs did this! If I were an SL(I may do this later as I did once)this is defionitely the way I would do it. Everybody knows the Avon brand-a brochure is not needed-it is confusing to some people. Those who are interested in being reps will reply to the flyer-especialy at the moments when employment is hard to get!:TAnnual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
Well done Johanne. We KNOW how hard you work on your territory. Hopefully if there are any orders, those people who want to order will wait to give you the order or contact you directly to tell you they have an order.
And he is not going to win any favours by being rude and obnoxious to polite requests to not leave books. You should tell your ASM what he said to these people, so that either she or Avon can have a quiet word with him about manners.
On my books for my regulars, have said if they order £10 or more, they can choose one of the shampoos free but only the 250ml, as can backorder to C10 and get them for 99p. Also the offer is if they buy a large shampoo, they get the 250ml free, so hoping this might encourage them to take a look and maybe buy.
Well done to you thought for not giving up and keeping going! I was actually thinking about you this evening, and how that silly ex rep is messing your PC Club sales around too! I would ask her to give you the details of the people who ordered so you can contact them directly. After all, if they ordered from her, and don't already order from you, they might do now, as you will show you are the real deal and that means even more sales for you0 -
Hi all i have a question regarding the derma-full facial serum. Do you think its suitable for someone in there 80s. Just my grandma has ordered one but im worried it might be too harsh for her.
Ive considered ordering the new thermafirm face lifting cream instead, what do you thinkAvon rep
Camp 7 £143.00:) Camp 8 £214:D0 -
Hi cattyfingers,it might be too strong for your Grandmother, so yes, go with the thermafirm face lifting cream. This really works but is gentle too. The derma full facial serum sounds very strong.0

Did anyone else notice that the lady in the Lotus Shield Training went to great pains to tell us how much money we would make if we bought the samples "at only 7 pence" we would make a profit of bla?.......but.......in HT12 these are 20 pence. !!
I might have bought some at 20 pence;)
Johanne- You have been so dogged and determined, organised and patient. You sound despondent and I am not surprised, but don't give up now. Think of what you will be able to tell your little girl when she is older- how you tried your level best to make a living wage, on your own, whilst trying to spend as much time with her as possible. You can't do that in any other job as a single parent. Grit your teeth and sod him:A0
