The lotus shield money maker is for ordering when you put your campaign 10 order in - depending where you are in the country affects when your order dates are, so you might not be able to order them. I've never done a money maker myself, and been doing this a year and a half - I know my customers won't order lots of them, so save myself the hassle of returning them by not ordering in the first place lol.
Sometimes Avon send us some free samples for new products - they did for the eye cream for the anew reversalist, but usually we have to buy them. The codes for them are in the Hello Tomorrow mag - but I always tell my new reps to not bother ordering samples to start with - you'll be sent some anyway, and while you've got your £7.50 charges to pay no point adding to your costs. Plus - until you know what sorts of products your customers like you could end up buying samples for something they will never purchase anyway. One way round buying samples is to make sure your customers know about the 90 day returns guarantee - then they can try it and see if they like it, if they don't you can send it back and you aren't out of pocket like you would have been had you paid for samples.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Yup looks like ive missed it then! Thank you!! Makes sense about the samples!!
Thanks again!0 -
Totally minor winge, but I wanted to drop my first set of C11 brochure today and then realised I'm out of bags! I've ordered a load, but they won't come until next week's delivery, so I'm still working off 99p store ones (which are more expensive than Avon ones!).
Just curious...I know some people print their order forms, but I really don't want to add to my printing costs. What about a rubber stamp? I'd still need to handwrite the "message" but it would save a little time.
top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

Aless, Vistaprint do a "free" small rubber stamp. If you go through Quidco, look for Vistaprint, they are currently offering £2.50 for free orders, by free, they mean things like the rubber stamp, business cards, postcards, and £5 for an order. By an order, they mean a regular order.
You have to pay Postage and Packaging, but if you go for slow delivery 21 days, postage is £3.42, as long as you just have black ink, basic design, no frills. So when Quidco pays out you will only have paid 92p for the stamp.
Or you can go for the bigger stamp but you will have to pay for this.0 -

I'll be ordering mine with C11 - web shows current and previous hello tomorrow mags. You can back order demos out of these but not the clearance (well, sometimes you can but the price may be different). Deep breath and I'll be going for the 10 pack - hope its popular. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Aww thanks thats great, ill have a think, will only be getting 3 though if i do i think. It says cannot be returned unopened, so does that mean if a customer gets one and isnt happy we cannot send it back and get a refund?0
-
You can get a refund if customer isn't happy as per their 90 day returns policy despite what the money maker conditions say. I think this may be to discourage reps using multiple items as demos then returning them.
I shall be holding mine for a couple of campaigns before I return them as you need to ensure that you wait until you are invoiced so you have the correct item number. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
after all the sh*t with little miss bad debt.... i get out tonight and find a sales leader dropped c11 books to 200 of my houses this afternoon!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Rang him and was really polite but he is really rude to me tells me that he is a sales leader and can recruit anywhere is the UK so its perfectly acceptable for him to drop on my territory and i "should open my f**King eyes" cos the slip of paper in the packs says he is looking for reps!!! I try to point out the slip in the front says he is coming back monday to collect the brochure AND any orders... but the phone goes funny and cuts out....
so i ring my ASM and she goes mad saying she doesnt know anything about it and will get onto it asap etc... and hes from another area and is really sorry etc.
Then i get home and find order forms in the couple of books my regulars gave me!!! with delivery dates on!! So HE WAS looking for orders too!!! Im fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuming!!!!!
Worse thing is hes covered EVERY house so all those who only recently told me they werent interested are gonna think its ME and kick off at me! (had lots of abuse in these streets!) and hes covered some houses i hadnt got round to as its new territory!! AND hes given them c11 when i actually was about to drop my already prepped and ready to go c10 books to these houses this weekend!!!! so now hes screwed up everything completely including my recanvassing schedule for the next 12 weeks and possibly poached customers and upset people!!!
Feel so upset and angry.. was actually crying in the street on the phone to my ASM.
Im at the point of giving up and going to be F+F rep for my good regulars only.0 -
oh Johanne. Hugs. It's true SL's can drop books anywhere, even where there is a Rep in case any of the customers do want to become Reps themselves.
I do put on my books, this book is expired and I am looking for reps but if you want to see a current book, please contact me. But the areas I drop in don't have any reps as far as I know, so I am not treading on anyone's toes. And I have picked up 3 new customers this way, but they all said they had never seen an Avon book, so no rep in the area.
That is very rude of him though. He could have apologised and asked where your territory was so he didn't do the same thing again.
Don't give up yet, your territory I mean. You are doing so well and you work so hard. You could put a note in with your books explaining he was a Sales Leader looking for people to become Reps and it was a misunderstanding him dropping C11 books in your area.0
