aww sorry to hear that Aless. If my customer doesn't like her bag, I can let you know. Or if one of the others that have ordered it, if their customers don't like it, maybe they could get in touch with you?
  • I bought the bag for myself from my rep-def not pink! Mulberry springs to mind. I like it regardless.
Went canvassing for the first time today and homed 29 brochures. Kept one back for myself as I bet if I didnt then Id find I needed to!
Met a few wouldbe customers who were pleased to see me and a few who were not. Not sure what to do with the ones who pu up the no doorstep selling stickers. Well I didnt knock-didnt disturb them but I took a chance and popped a brochure in the door-hope I dont get too many angry folk! Well if I never see the brochures again Ive lost 4 or 5 which happens anyway. My SL said we were ok on that-we shall see I guess-they can be rather fussy where I live. Anyone have any idea of how much the "average" order is? Im hoping to canvass approx 90 houses on my first camp. I did knock on all of the doors to try to get the person but if no reply I popped the brochure in anyway. Not sure how others are doing it these days?

Hello everyone, been a bit AWOL this week!

Been a little poorly with a horrid cold and had a Avon Party right in the middle of it!

Anyway, at my party there was 25 inc me! To me this was prob too many as people ended uo sitting in front of the table of clearance items and not a lot sold. I took £215 in orders and sold £32 of jewerly (all to members of my family). The last party i did i had 10 people and sold the same amount, was a little disppointed if im honest but i think my first party i did i had really good spenders like average was £20 whereas tues was average of £8 ish!

Have only recavassed one street of my territory this campaign cos i was prepping for my party and really thought i was gonna hit £400+ but not a chance, next campaign i shall get back into it and recanvas more!

    Hello to all the newbies....

LOL - almost all my customers have 'no doorstep selling' or similar notices on their door although one of my best customers has done a notice saying no doorstep selling except AVON & Betterware :D I'm a 'stuffer' rather than a 'knocker' anyway, but I think it might be best to just put a book through the door where they have stickers. You could be setting yourself up for some nasty comments otherwise.

According to Avon, the average order is £12. Having said that, mine on this campaign is just over £15. It can be surprising how quickly they mount up. They also say, I believe, that 1 in 3 houses will order but I rather think that would depend entirely on the area.

Just had this in my messages:

    Advance Techniques Lotus Shield incentive

You’ll find a flyer in your order which details our fabulous Advance Techniques Lotus Shield incentive. This great new product means frizz is finished. Every Advance Techniques product that you order in Campaign 12 is worth a set number of points and more points mean more prizes. Please note that you do not need to order a minimum of three Lotus Shield but you will need to accumulate 15 points across the Advance Techniques range to qualify for the incentive. Any Lotus Shield products ordered from the money maker in Hello Tomorrow 12 will count towards your target despite Hello Tomorrow 14, page 52 saying they will not. Apologies for the print error. All prizes will be delivered with your Campaign 15 order. All other terms of the incentive remain unchanged.

Yeah, will see how I get on next week with my Antler bag and let you know.

Email from my ASM this morning with C10 results. Am just picking myself up off the floor as I was ...

Top 10 for my area for C10! :j
On track for PC this year if I keep my sales at about £500! :j:j

Think the PC is a bit optimistic but will keep plugging on with that new territory and see what happens.

Sorted order last night and bagged up - only 3 things missing this time Avon, better than last time!! Ridiculously excited about the arrival of my treasure beads bracelet, and am wearing it for work today.

Right, off to order my immediate replacements AGAIN!! :(

(Sorry don't like finishing such an upbeat message with a :( so ........:j!!!)

Went to deliver an order today and the customer asked me if I had picked up her previous order for the Outrageous Perfume... DoH! I hadn't been back as thought she hadn't placed an order! Luckily have the perfume and freebies still at home but there were other items she ordered, so am going to do an additional order, and have to lump the £2.50 as it was my fault for not checking with her! She spent about £30 on her order too... :(

    This will teach me!

It's at times like this I wish I had a car, as it is the constant waiting around for buses and my DS has decided he needs to go through his naughty 2s stage!

On a good note, delivered to a new customer yesterday and she was telling me how she hadn't seen an avon book for 12 years and she was always buying bits and pieces for gifts for her friends and family in Cyprus. Could have had a nice conversation with her except DS was playing up and running away and she was worried he was going to run into the road.

I couldn't understand what she said though, as I know the rep who was encroaching on my territory, as told by our ASM, just go wherever you like, most people don't canvass their own territories! I told her these roads were available and she had put a book down there as someone gave it back to me, dated from last April!

I texted her to ask her if she was doing these roads and she said no as someone else was doing it and she was told there was no available territory? This lady said she never saw a book last year and no one does it!

To think I could have had these roads a year ago!

    oh well.

My DD is going through the terrible 2's too. She had a major tantrum in a charity shop yesterday. I have now discovered the art of blackmail (if you dont stop that horrible noise/doing that then we wont go to the playground) - and it works!
