    Afternoon ladies....

I'm a bit fed up with this Avon lark today..... As this was my 3rd campaign drop I put in a newsletter pointing out the best deals and provided some aftershave samples to promote one of the 'Father's Day' packs to regular customers but it hasn't really worked.

I'm not sure if its a) 3rd campaign so peoples spending has cooled off a bit or b) the promotions in c9 are not savy enough or c) ME!!

My order is due in on Thursday and I have some new houses to drop too but I'm not keeping my hopes up. Have hit MOV but am about £30 off HOV.... I was doing really well up until this campaign and now I feel really fed up. :(

    Any ideas or suggestions please?

I found that if I got 'excited' about a certain offer it became 'contagious'. In C9, I specifically mentioned the 3 for £5 offer on all AT products, brushes, etc. Some customers didn't believe it applied to all the brushes but it does. Equally, the other offer I thought was worth mentioning was the 3 for £9 on suntan lotions/after suns/self-tanning products. One of my customers told me that the magic tan self tan product (17707) is great (it was also mentioned recently in the Daily Mail as getting 8/10 and that was at £8 so at £3 it's a steal!! If you've got email addresses of your customers, it could be worth doing a 'round robin' just to make sure they saw the offers and see if they want to take advantage of them. The Daily Mail article was on 27 May (p73) so if you need an 'excuse' to contact your customers, you could use that i.e. 'just wondered if you saw ...... and there's still time to add it to your order if you fancy trying it?' Or something like that.

Equally, see that earlier in the thread someone mentioned C10 as not being good; the bargain worth mentioning there is the fitflops reduced to £10 - at that price I'm going to have a 2nd pair! (A new customer ordered them @ £18 in C9 but I've offered to re-order them in C10 and send the ones in C9 back.... Yes, know I lose commission and cause myself some hassle but pretty sure I'll now have another 'dedicated customer' that no-one's going to be able to 'poach'! ;) )

I am in the same boat, my ASM only gets in touch if it will benefit her!! Really wish I'd signed up via an SL xx

My SL has never once been in touch since I joined up and the ASM is a joke. If it weren't for you guys I really wouldn't stick with it.

    Hi!
I have signed up to be a rep last week. Been thinking about it for a while and decided to just do it. Was suprised how quick it was from me sending my details and signing up, did it the next day.
Signed up to start from campaign 11, didnt really want to rush to do campaign 10. Really cant wait to get started!!
Does anybody know how long it takes to get all the details to go onto the website usually?

    Thank you!

Welcome to Avon Carly. As soon as you have your account no. then you just go to the Avon site and register. (I usually help any newbies on my team find their way round the site but it's fairly straight forward really.)

    Good luck!

Thank you! Do you usually get it emailed to you. I cant wait to get on the website and just have a look at it! Im just impatient, i wish i would have done campaign 10 now because i think its too early to be giving out books yet for 11, but its for the best i think, got more time to prepare.

Welcome Carly. When your SL/ASM signed you up, hopefully they posted off your application to Avon that day, it should be processed within 24 hours, and you will get emailed your account number.

It is probably a good idea to start on C11, rather than C10, it gives you more chance to get those books out there!

My C10 has been really quiet. I was lucky to hit MOV with 3 customers, but picked up 5 books tonight from regulars, and no orders. Still have a further 7 to pick up by Wednesday, but if none of them order.. that's it.

To be honest I think C11 is a much better book! Lots of bargains and reduced price items.

Only concern I have, a friend is buying Avon from me and keeps saying I can't pay you for it all in one go, will pay you bits and pieces. Fine I said, she was supposed to give me some money last week, turns out she couldn't and now she wants me to order more stuff but won't be able to pay me for a while. Am going to have to explain to her I can't pay for her orders, I don't earn enough discount to do that, and the discount I am earning needs to pay my bills, I am currently working 7 days and it is not easy for me.

Yes you usually get your account number e-mailed to you in an e-mail called ''Welcome to Avon'' - Normally takes about 3 -5 days after you have signed up!
