Aaaarrrggghhh does anyone else find this frustrating - I am putting my order in and every time I hit "search" the page scrolls to the top and I have to scroll back down to input my next item. Is there a way around this as I am sick of scrolling down?

    Sorry - rant over! xxxxxx

Thanks Lozza, I remembered you told me that before but I thought I would get all mixed up with what I have added and what I haven't. Think I'm still a bit nervous as I don't want to make any mistakes, however think I am going to have to give it a go before I go mad! xxxxx

I tend to put one order at a time, view descriptions, save, then put the next order on etc. Then when I've got them all on, I go to view order, and double check on there working my way through my order forms, works well if you keep the order forms in the order you entered them online.

Trouble is - asm have such ridiculous targets to meet, that they won't give out any more territory than they have to, else they can't get enough new reps. I know it's unfair - they should help to keep long term, good, reps - but asms don't have targets based on retention, but rather getting x amount of new reps each campaign, so unfortunately they aren't bothered much if people only order once, then leave, frees up the territory to get another rep and so on! Could try emailing avon - but I imagine there response will be "only area managers can deal with this" as I had to chase my asm when I first signed up, she said she'd give me territory the next day....a week later still hadn't heard, and avon didn't care, it was only when they did a "courtesy call" (obviously based somewhere else other than where I'd been ringing!) and told them I wasn't going to be ordering if I had no territory that I got sent territory that night by the asm, who I'm guessing had an ar*e kicking lol!
That's interesting, I did wonder whether the ASMs targets/bonuses worked along those lines. You would think that there was a better way of incentivising the ASMs, you can't blame them for thinking the way they do if that's where their bonuses come from.

With all the software there is these days you would imagine that something a little more sophisticated could be developed that rewarded ASMs for getting as much territory as possible covered. I realise the problem with this is that they would then allocate it willy nilly to reps regardless of whether they wanted it or intended to cover it. However with postcode consumer profiling I bet it isn't that difficult to come up with an average anticipated orders for a postcode and compare that to actuals to flag up where there are substantial differences.

They already have figures of what should be sold per street but they are useless - you could have everyone living there already buying from a family member who is a rep etc - at the moment asms look at how much you've sold, along with your customer count if you request extra territory which gives them a good idea of how much you are covering properly. To be honest you don't need hundreds of houses -if you give a good service and recanvass properly 200 is enough for most people to get good sales, me and oh certainly find that.

I don't even have that many houses, about 85 on the road I've been given but quite a few of those have said that they don't want to see a book so I reckon I have about 60 houses that haven't said no. I have 17 customers so far from these houses although I have been picking up one or two extra each campaign. I also don't have that many F&F as my family all live over 200 miles away and without sounding like a saddo I really don't have that many friends! I am doing a lot better than I thought I would do but can just see that if I was allowed more territory I could do so much better!!! Oh well, will just have to grin and bear it by the looks of it!

We did for the first 5 campaigns (apart from those that told us no), now we give everyone who has ever ordered a book every campaign, and recanvass about 20 or so houses each time, we usually pick up at least one new customer as people move, loose the rep from work etc etc.

If you've got less than 100 I'd definately complain, you should have at least 100 if there's territory available.
