I put a different front sheet in this time with it clearly stating the day i would be back, think this helped!
Sounds similar to my territory. Lose books, do about 60 of the 90 house territory i have and lose 10 or more books each time. I clearly print out a "I will be collecting books on... and I will be delivering orders on....." note too.
May I ask please, returns? I have a return, but we wont be home on delivery day.... what should I do?Julie0 -

Do you have a safe place?
Maybe phone the courier in advance and advise that return will be available for collection, with return slip to be signed and posted through letterbox?:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
If you have a safe place where your delivery can be left when you aren't in - just leave your returns there. I leave mine in my shed if I'm at work, the guy signs my forms, leaves it there for me with our delivery (mine, OH, & mils lol!) and takes away my returns with no problem.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Slightly off topic here but I know you will give me good answers
...
At my appraisel my line manager has asked me to look at my job description and all the additional things I do and split them in two. Into 'doing' and 'managing'.
We are trying to see if my position (executive) should be renamed (manager). I argue that I am already doing the work. And I am the whole marketing team!!
How would you present this? I have them in two lists have the moment but it looks really basic and a few of them overlap!
Can any one offer any advice please?0 -
I am one happy camper...i told you about that large orderer from last campaign well ive collected her books, she had 4 upto campaign 9...has ordered out of all 4 books...400 and odd pound, so its 200 this campaign and 200 nxt..she called me today to add 6 bottles of timeless on as her friend wanted some...and she said she loves perfume i told her my fav is the 50's glam, she told me to order her a bottle too lol.
i now have a question for you ladies...i want to keep her happy...obviously want to give her a gift but what?? i have to acknowledge her big spending habits, im grateful to have her.
she actually got my number of my card in a shop that was advertising sales leader lol.
thanks0 -
Depends on the kind of things she's ordered - perhaps some everyday items, liquid soap (if she has family / friends round and they use it....voila another customer lol), cotton wool pads out of HT if she orders make up......body spray or something to match the perfume she ordered perhaps?Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Winsomes - sounds like you just need to justify the job title change, and if the list of job elements which you "manage" exceeds the list of job elements which you "do" then you can justify the job title change. Hope your HR team are quicker than ours .......
I think the best you can do is list everything you do (boring but necessary). Is it the case that where you have to involve someone else in a process then that is a "manage" task?? Because you are having to delegate elements of a task, and manage someone to complete those elements which you cannot??
If you are keen to have this title change (and then argue for the relevant pay rise, eh?!!) then you need to wangle the list as much as you can so that the manage list is longer.
It WILL look like a basic list but it sounds like its just that they need justification, so keep it simple but make sure you list everything - you need to have some "doing" tasks, but the more you can shove in to "manage" then the better. If there are some tasks which are pretty 50/50 (you do 50% of the work and delegate 50%) then you could list these in a third column, but if there is an element of managing as above then I'd be tempted to keep them in the manage column.
I would imagine it is unlikely that anybody will go through it with a fine tooth comb unless you are asking for pots more money, if the list of "doing" tasks is looking too long, then see if there are any really little tasks which can be removed to shorten it a bit without anybody noticing!!!!
Its all about the spin, you see .....0 -
Right well I've re-worked my delivery letters & brochure newsletters to add in "get a free gift if you refer a friend who becomes a customer", and also "refer a friend within a 40mile radius who joins avon and receive a free gift" - I live in hope lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Def body spray etc - I don't find that 50s Glam lasts that long so the body spray is essential!! What about Planet Spa hand cream or similar - the smell is gorgeous and you might get some more sales from that range from her??0 -
thats strange you say that about the 50's glam..i found that lasted all day for me
when i was planning my wedding (which never happened lol thats why i started avon so we cn afford it hehe) i went to the bridal shop, id had the 50's glam on alllll day and the assistant could still smell it lol.
I might do that tho with the body spray. she orders a lot of perfumes, bubble bath, jewellery, mens aftershave and body wash and bagsso a wide range of things..doesnt seem to be any makeup lol which is weird as she has 16 yr old twin girls lol.
i am going to give her a bottle of the outspoken when i get it...as its quite young and trendy im hoping she might order a few bottles for her daughters0
