i really think i should crack on with this tax malarky..im signed up self employed etc but i still havent got around to sorting my invoices and expenses its seems sucha dauting tax :)

ok someone here might be able to help, we get child tax and a tiny bit of working tax credit, when they ask for last years earnings im obviously going to have some from avon, my tax return wont be due till 2011 or so im led to believe. anyway when i give tax credits my earnings is it before expenses are taken off or after ...my profit i guess? any help would be appreciated :)

for self employed its your profit at the end of the year that tax credits want. Thats the s.e income that you pay tax on. But if you were to make a loss in s.e that loss would come off any other income you had. Say for ex you made a loss of 200 on avon and had an emp inc of 9000 then your emp inc would be reduced to 8800 for tax credit purposes. Does that make sense

    hi all,

Delivered another 12 brochures to my territory this morning, didn't have any 'not interested' on this batch so fingers crossed. I took the stuff and run approach which is probably not the best way but we will see what happens.

Once I had pushed the brochures through I had an after thought of putting a note in the book asking if they would like to receive copies in the future, does anyone have a template they could PM or give me an idea of what they put please??

A friend came round with 2 orders from her and her mom last night totalling £26 so I'm very happy although fingers crossed I pick up some orders from the street I've dropped at too.

Hope everyone is having a good day :p

No hum ....... went to deliver my orders last night and one of my customers ordered the Rosielee weekend bag from C6 clearance book. She has decided she really likes it and would like the handbag as well.

I'm now on C8 so can only back order C7 so ........

    Anybody any ideas?

Or does anybody have one they would post to me for cost price plus p&p?
Or can anybody order it for me from C6 and I'll pay cost and p&p?

    Cheers peeps x
My c7 order is due by the end of today so I could back order c6. However I have just added the bag to the order to check availability and it comes up as a big, fat, red cross. Sorry.
    C5 £202 :); C6£541 :j; C7 £502; C8 £379; C9 £379

Brill - thanks Noglet. Was hoping that someone was just about to put their order in and could tell me stock availability!

Its not in the clearance section in C8 so I suspected it was OOS.

Thanks loads for looking for me xx

    Hi Noglet,

Am I right in saying that from your signiture you have only done 2 campaigns and you have made approx £800? Is that total sales or commission?

    Thanks

I do "stuff and run" to so don't worry - I think its better, gives people a chance to look in their own time, with no pressure.

I've a template I use when recanvassing, will email it to you tonight / tomorrow morning x

Still looking for feedback re. the Anew foundation please. (Did email Avon but didn't get very far.)

I saw the customer yesterday and she brought it out to show me the problem.... Actually not really sure there is one as I suspect it dispenses a 'full amount' to cover the whole face rather than being able to just dispense small amounts. The 'pusher mechanism' did seem a bit stiff though so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and agreed that it could possibly be faulty. My thinking is that at £15 she's wanting to use it more sparingly than she is being led to i.e. because of the amount is dispenses.

Anyone else use this and/or have experience?

Inaminute: Reverting to the stuff -v- asking question, just do whatever you're happiest with. As already said, there are pro's and con's with both methods.

I've just recanvassed my territory and reverted to the 'stuff and run' method - mainly because I had a lot of spare books and it was quicker. Picked up one new order (£1.75!) and another potential new customer but in the main just lost a lot of books and most of the people, who did put their books out for me, couldn't even be bothered to complete as to whether they were interested or not! Think I only got one person, who ticked a box.

This is what I stapled to the front of the books (+ my contact details of course) - sorry, there are boxes to tick on my draft but but it goes wonky when I copy it to the thread:

Wondered if you might like to see the latest catalogue?
    Yes please No thanks
I will call to collect the book/your order on
    Saturday ...............................

    Thanks for looking
