Avon Hints and Tips (Part 4)

Afternoon all....
Well I'm a little disappointed that on one side of a territory road, out of 23 houses I had 5 not interested and one customer who had brought a product off a previous rep and it was faulty! I saw this as a positive after collecting unopened brochures that there was at least one lady who would buy from me (i hope)Now all I have to do is sort out her faulty product!
I'm now off to drop to the other side of this same road that I didn't finish yesterday, lets hope they are buyers!
Thanks MC & Lozza for your advice on the stuff and run, I will keep up with this approach this time and maybe knock for the next campaign.
Good news is that I've had two orders from people on my street so all is not lost yet.0 -
Hi, I just wondered if anyone was planning on buy the organiser from the stationary range in HT? I bought one in my first campaign and in my most recent campaign acheived the level 2 incentive and part of the free gift was another folder! I was planning on returning it however I don't appear to be able to! So, if anyone was planning on getting one I have one going spare that's just going to be gathering dust!
Also, my ASM keeps emailing me and this campaign even added a note onto my invoice requesting details of my customers to check that I am canvassing ym territory otherwise she'll give it to someone else. Each time I have responded with my customer details and requesting more territory and the only reply I have recieved said that she can't give me any more territory as she needs to save it for new reps however do I know anyone that would like to become a rep. Surely the fact that I'm willing to cover more territory and there is some going spare shouldn't be a problem? Presumably Avon would rather the houses were covered than not whether by a new rep or an existing one?Proud wife to a soldier and mummy to two gorgeous boysDealing with our Debt Barclaycard £2022.98 RBS £1249.86 Next £183.03September Groceries £120/£102.05:( September Packed Lunches 22/6Sealed Pot Challenge #9940 -
Yummymummy85 I have the same problem, my asm gave me some streets which were covered already so said when more become available she will give me them. She also 'swapped' me some territory as it was far away and not very good orders so said she would give me some other streets closer to home. That was september she said this, everytime I text/ring/email she either never gets back to me or says there isnt any available and will tell me as soon as there is. Well iv seen her prospecting in my area so im presuming there is streets available but she'd prefer to sign up new reps with it to hit her targets even tho im desperate for it, im thinking of e-mailing avon explaining I want more territory and asm wont get back in touch with me, dont know if this will help tho? I dont understand why they would rather give streets to new reps who usually quit rather than older reps who are proving how hard they work. I only have 3 streets now and manage to get around £300 orders so wouldnt it benefit her for me to cover new streets x0

I am one happy camper...i told you about that large orderer from last campaign ...i want to keep her happy...obviously want to give her a gift but what?? i have to acknowledge her big spending habits, im grateful to have her.
she actually got my number of my card in a shop that was advertising sales leader lol.
thanks
I would maybe see what goodies you have (new) or perhaps give her the 50's glam as a gift. Perhaps instead if you are on 8 now, order her a fergie set from the money maker (costs £9) and give her one of those, as it is not in any of the books yet so she will have it before any of her friends/family. If she has not qualified for the anew beauty bonus, then see if any of your customers have ordered odds and sodds from anew but not made the individual £20 and order her a free beauty bonus. (i have ordered 2 for free) I think that you could otherwise spend about £5 on clearance bits and pieces for her. there are gift bags for sale in clearance 8 book and pop them into that for her. Really dresses up the gift.
IM SOOOOO Pleased for you. Well done, on finding her and keeping her.
Thats your christmas sorted.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -

that's exactly how I see it, I'm doing around £200 each campaign from just one street and a few friends but I know if I had some more territory I'd be able to make more sales and therefore earn Avon more money!!! (and me obviously!!) Out of interest, what area of the country are you in? I might email Avon too - don't ask don't get!!Proud wife to a soldier and mummy to two gorgeous boysDealing with our Debt Barclaycard £2022.98 RBS £1249.86 Next £183.03September Groceries £120/£102.05:( September Packed Lunches 22/6Sealed Pot Challenge #9940 -
Trouble is - asm have such ridiculous targets to meet, that they won't give out any more territory than they have to, else they can't get enough new reps. I know it's unfair - they should help to keep long term, good, reps - but asms don't have targets based on retention, but rather getting x amount of new reps each campaign, so unfortunately they aren't bothered much if people only order once, then leave, frees up the territory to get another rep and so on! Could try emailing avon - but I imagine there response will be "only area managers can deal with this" as I had to chase my asm when I first signed up, she said she'd give me territory the next day....a week later still hadn't heard, and avon didn't care, it was only when they did a "courtesy call" (obviously based somewhere else other than where I'd been ringing!) and told them I wasn't going to be ordering if I had no territory that I got sent territory that night by the asm, who I'm guessing had an ar*e kicking lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Ok, so I do a little on facebook, though had no customers / reps from it yet (though thinking in my next newsletter that goes in my brochures I might promote my group, if I can get local customers to join and their friends see...) - but been considering "twittering" - but I have no idea how to do it lol! I know I can download an app for free so I can do it from my mobile which would be handy - but does anyone on here use twitter and how do you get started? What kind of name are you allowed to have? Daft question but took me ages to get facebook let me have "avon" in my name lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

I saw the customer yesterday and she brought it out to show me the problem.... Actually not really sure there is one as I suspect it dispenses a 'full amount' to cover the whole face rather than being able to just dispense small amounts. The 'pusher mechanism' did seem a bit stiff though so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and agreed that it could possibly be faulty. My thinking is that at £15 she's wanting to use it more sparingly than she is being led to i.e. because of the amount is dispenses.
Anyone else use this and/or have experience?
I've never used it myself, but I've sold a couple and never had any complaints - so could be a dodgy one you have, or an awkward customer! Could be worth getting a replacement to see if its just faulty.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Sorry didn't see this til it was quoted above ... I use the Anew foundation everyday and it always squirts out sparingly so I think your customer has just been unlucky and received a dodgy dispenser xxSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0
